LOVELY TWO BEDROOM VILLA, VERY PRIVATE, BUT CLOSE TO ATTRACTIONS

Rose Apple villa is the perfect base if you want a quiet retreat for excursions to see the real Jamaica. If you’re looking for a sanitized, luxury all-inclusive then look elsewhere! But if you want a comfortable, immaculate home to be your retreat from the hustle and bustle of the island, you’ve found it! While portions of the grounds are still under construction at the time of our visit (such as changing rooms at the pool and an additional suite in the downstairs portion of the home) everything is tidy and well maintained.

Families of small children will appreciate the fact that the pool is separated from the house by at least 30 ft up a short hill. Security is excellent. It doesn’t get much more rural feeling than this-with 5 acres of mature fruit trees around the property, we got a much better sense of what life was like in rural areas.

We opted to have Jackie cook our dinners each night and tidy up as time allowed. Coming home to an authentic (and delicious!) Jamaican meal was really quite a treat. Jackie is quiet, unobtrusive and happy to share her own knowledge of the island. We fell in love with her! We also negotiated with Walen to rent a van and have him drive us around the island. With over 30 years experience in Jamaica, he can answer even the silliest question and his laid back attitude is perfectly suited for dealing with the crazy driving that is par for the course. It was this dynamic duo that really MADE our whole trip! Jackie and Walen were a team that allowed us the type of daily experiences that people in the resorts had to pay for on tours! We are now completely spoiled for all other vacations!

Two of my girlfriends and I went to Jamaica in April and stayed at the Rose Apple Villa. The property
is exactly as described. The house is very modern with two large bedrooms, each with a bathroom
and walk-in closet. There is also another bath off the living room. The living room and kitchen is joined with verandes on the front and back of house. We sat and watched some beautiful sunsets from the back verande. It is also equipped with a washer and dryer so don't over-pack.

The pool is big and beautiful. We were able to see the cruise ships go by from the pool. The
others have some big plans for the pool area. The grounds are neatly kept with lots of fruit
trees that will be shared with guests. The grounds are still a work in progress.

We had a driver pick us up in Montego Bay and bring us to Rose Apple in St. Annes Bay which is
only about ten minutes from Ocho Rios. He was available to take us whenever we were ready. We
shopped in Ocho Rios, and shopped the local crafts market where the locals sell their wares. This
is a shopping trip you must experience.

We ate at the local grills (jerk chicken) and went to Margaritaville a couple of times. That was
a fun time. We also had dinner at a nice seafood restaurant. The food was really good.

We went to the beach and enjoyed the beautiful water and white sands. Our favorite was Dunn's
River Falls where you actually climb up the falls. We only went for an afternoon but regretted that
we did not spend the day there. They have a beach area and food huts. By spending the day, you
could climb the falls more than once.

We learned so much about Jamaica and it's people who we found to be very friendly and willing to answer any questions we had.

So if you are needing a vacation where you can relax and have plenty of peace and quite, then
book your week at the Rose Apply Villa.

This was a vacation of a lifetime. The view from the villa is magnificent. From the pool you can see the ocean. It was so quiet and serene, much better than staying in a crowded hotel. Our tour guide was great and we saw beautiful scenery. It was great to mingle with the people of Jamaica and learn about their culture and eat their food. I would definitely like to return someday soon.
