LOON'S CALL LODGE: If you are considering a relaxing week away from the rat race, this is the spot.

If you seek night-life, sandy beaches, boardwalks, arcades, malls, and multiplex theatres, then this is NOT your destination.

If peace and quiet, nature, a rocky coast with lighthouses and crashing waves, quaint New England towns, lobsters and clams, a warm lake with great swimming and fishing, wildlife, cool nights, a crackling fire, paddling a kayak or canoe, a beautiful waterfront view, and a comfortable log cabin sounds like your cup of tea, then take a look. You just might like this place we call our home away from home!

About Chap Kistler - Owner of THE LODGE

Kim and I, along with Macauley, Cory, and Albert call this HOME. We live full time in Pennsylvania, but Maine is our get away where we try to spend as much time as possible once the kids get out of school.

With 2 out of our 3 kids in college, and the third getting ready to make the big move, we don't get to Loon's Call Lodge as often as we'd like. Our loss is your gain!

This is our Late-Spring, Summer, and Early-Fall retirement plan. Too cold from Nov-Apr, so see our listing in Surfside Beach, SC (#350095) which is our retirement option during the rest of the year.

What makes this house unique

Fishing, swimming, boating, breakfast at Moody's Diner, and relaxing top the list!

After that, we select from a thousand other things to do from shopping in Freeport (home of LL Bean) to trips to the ocean to watch the crashing waves and wild life.

Best of all are the several pairs of Bald Eagles that nest on the lake!

We had a wonderful time. The kids loved the lake and all the activities. The home is beautiful and has all the amenities you could ever want. Couldn't be happier. We can't wait to go back!

This house was so nicely kept, clean, and with incredible furnishings - beautiful wood everywhere, log beds that were really comfortable, great living room area, huge tv/internet, an outdoor shower in addition to the indoor one, canoes, kayaks, dock, water trampoline, tons of games and puzzles,...the list goes on and on. It is so well done, and we can't wait to spend another vacation here!

We can't thank the owners of this property enough for their hospitality and assistance. Spent one of our most pleasant family vacations ever in this gorgeous cabin. While we enjoyed the tranquility and gorgeous views of the beautiful lake, the accomodations were modern and top-notch. Truly a hidden gem........
