Come Enjoy Fun, Sun, & Sand At Our York Beach Retreat!

This house was only a 5-6 minute walk to short sands beach, very doable even with all of you beach gear and 2 small children. It is in a semi private area and very quiet. The entire upstairs of the house is a huge bedroom with 2 beds and lots of floor space, as well as a tv. This would be a great space for 2 couples to share (it is the same as sharing a 2 bed hotel room). There is a great nook at the top of the stairs that I think was designed as more closet space, but it would also make a great place for young children on an air matress or a playpen as it is out of site from the rest of the bedroom. Downstairs is a smaller bedroom which is great for a couple or children. My husband and I shared the space with our 1 1/2 year old and it was kind of crowded, but it worked (allthough I would not recomend this arrangement...the baby woke up more than she does at home). The living room was a good size and the kitchen met all of out needs. The back porch was great for meals and the outside shower was awsome! We could take both an inside shower and outside at the same time and it didnt seem to affect the water pressure or temp!

This house is different from most others because you do your own cleaning on the last day, but it was not difficult, no different than keeping your own home. We swiffered the hard floors and vacuumed the carpets, disinfected the counters...nothing hard!

We had a few small issues (no swiffer, so we bought a broom) but the owners were great about it and when we had a glass get accidentally broken, they were really forgiving and we didnt loose our deposit!

We had 4 adults, a pre teen and 2 small children stay here, and other than the smaller bedroom being a little snug, we all fit fine! The location was great and the price was right! I would deff recomend this to anyone. Not sure if we will all fit next year with the little ones getting older, but it was a great place to stay and the owners were great and understanding!
