VERMONT YEAR-ROUND LAKEFRONT VACATION RENTAL HOME CLOSE TO BURLINGTON & MONTREAL

Grand Isle Cottage Rental Photos and Description

On Lake Champlain. 3 bedrooms, 1 full bath, Sleeps 6 with space for up to 4 more

Our westward facing cottage has 1 full bath and 3 bedrooms that sleeps 6 comfortably. There's a queen sofa bed and a double futon if you need to accommodate a few more. Bedroom 1 - Queen, Bedroom 2 - Twin bunk beds, Bedroom 3 - Full. Bed linens for the 4 beds and 6 bath towels will be provided for your use during your stay.

The Great Room offers you views of Lake Champlain. So whether inside or out, you can always witness the beautiful sunsets.

You don't have to eat out. The kitchen with refrigerator, microwave and gas range make family meals within your vacation budget a reality. Plus there's a propane grill for your use on the deck!

Of course, when you want a break from kitchen duty, there are plenty of nearby dining options including several fine dining restaurants, a pub and pizza restaurant and a bagel bakery.

The washer and dryer in the cottage are available for your use.

The property has plenty of space for your vehicles and any trailers you might be towing. So feel free to bring your equipment based on the season -- snowmobiles, boats, kayaks, etc.

There's fun all year round on the lake. In the winter, you'll want to bring your ice fishing gear, snowshoes and x-country skis. In the summer, you'll want your fishing poles, kayaks and canoes with you.

Spring through Fall, you'll want your bicycle. We're right on the Lake Champlain Bikeway.

We'll have the dock out for your use all summer long. It's there when you want to swim, fish, sun bathe or tie up the boat!

For a change of pace, check out the nearby ski and snowboard areas -- Smugglers Notch, Stowe Mountain and Jay Peak. Or plan a day visit to Montreal, Quebec, Canada, (about an hour away) or Burlington, VT. (about 30 minutes away).

Our cottage has cable TV and Internet service (wired and wireless.)

My husband and I adore the area. We only knew the area from spending summers at our cottage in North Hero. We've only come to realize the beauty of winter on the lake over the last 2 years that we've lived here. Even just watching the wildlife is mesmerizing. I still get excited when I see a bald eagle standing on the ice or perched high in a tree!

You just can't beat westward facing lake front on a large bay on Lake Champlain. Every sunset is different! And the Adirondacks offer a spectacular backdrop. Make sure you have plenty of space on your camera for all the photos you're bound to take.

Even if you've exhausted yourself with outdoor fun, just sitting inside the cozy cottage and watching others play on the lake, be it frozen or open water, it's truly relaxing.

We were 100% satisfied with our experience at this house. The owner is great and super helpful. We loved that the lake is right in the backyard and we could just jump in whenever we felt like it. Very clean and well maintained. I have already recommended this property to many of my friends and family. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

We couldn't have asked for a better place for our stay! The house is tucked in a cove out of the wind, so we spent all of our days on the dock and our evenings enjoying the fire pit outside. We can't wait to visit again next summer!
Note: The owners were great. They live next door, so were always available to help, but never made us feel hovered over.

We spent 3 days at the cottage. We were 3 families, 8 persons in total. The place was big enough, no problems. It is directly on the lake, with a private access. We swam every day. We took many meals on the deck, enjoying the beautiful view on the lake. Susan, the landlord, is very kind and helpful. She lives next door. We will certainly go back.
Owner's Response: Our hope is that our guests enjoy lake life as much as we do!

Enjoy lakefront vacationing any time of year. During the winter, spend the day skiing at several nearby resorts or put on your snowshoes or x-country skis and travel on the ice around The Gut. In the summer, walk right into the lake or paddle out in your kayak or canoe. There's a private dock for your use. Enjoy dinner at several local fine dining establishments or beer and pizza at McKee's. Or enjoy a meal in. After all, you'll want to eat that fresh perch you caught fishing!
