Welcome to 'Sand en See' situated on idyllic Blouberg Beach. The apartment borders the quaint Bloubergstrand Village and the new Big Bay beach development with its famous boutique shops and restaurants. Our well-known 'neighbour' is the 'Blue Peter Hotel' famous for sundowners on the lawn. The apartment is perfect for a stroll along the beach or through the village or shops and ideal for water sports. Beach lovers stroll just a few metres to place their feet firmly on the pristine beach sand. The sunsets from the verandah are breathtaking and the view is of picture-postcard Table Mountain and Robben Island.
There are 2 bedrooms with a double and 2 single beds respectively. There is a sleeper couch in the lounge suitable for a child or teen.
There is 1 bathroom with bath, hand-held shower and toilet.
The kitchen is open plan and fully equipped with all essentials and includes barbecue equipment for the outside 'braai'/ barbecue facility.
The T.V. has DSTV select channels.
The parking garage is secure and electronic with direct access to the apartment building.
Linen and towels are provided but please bring your own beach towels.
The apartment is close to Cape Town with all the attractions it has to offer. The drop-off and collection point for the 'My Citi' buses is about 20m up the road should you require public transport into town.
The soccer stadium and waterfront are about 18 km away.
The airport is about 30 km away.
Kitesurfing, windsurfing and board boarding are just a 10 m dash across the road.
Restaurants and supermarkets can be reached in 5 minutes on foot.
The nearest golf courses are about 5 km away. These are at Atlantic Beach and Sunset Beach.
My husband and I bought the apartment some years ago after falling in love with it. At that stage we used it as our 'office' as we lived close by. We were amazed by the occasional sightings of whales, dolphins and seals which was quite a distraction from our work! Sadly, we left the area in pursuit of better schools for our teenage kids.
We moved to the southern suburbs and decided to keep the apartment for holidays.
I resumed my teaching career and teach special needs children. I juggle management of the apartment with my work, but also have an assistant, who lives in Blouberg. I prefer e-mail inquiries as I am not always able to assist telephonically.
