Hi Matt. We had a great vacation - thank you for offering such great properties near Disney.
We stayed at the Visa Cay in Orlando from October 6-11 as a business trip. Saves the company a lot of money and we are very close to the OCCC and right next door to the Publix grocery store. The Walgreens down the street has Everything you need, including packing material we need for crating up our products after the trade show. 4126 Breakview Dr., #104. The place was immaculate and ready to go. Wonderful location and very clean and quiet. We always use your places when we have to work FL in the Orlando area.
We totally enjoyed our stay, everything was great. We will be doing this again the next time we are in the area. There was plenty of room for my entire family which was very important to us. Michael
Just wanted to thank you for a wonderful experience at Vista Cay. The condo was great and the location and ease of arrival and departure was perfect.
My family really loved this location. It was only about a 10 min drive to Universal and Sea World from the condo. The convenience of the grocery store, restaurants, and pool all within a 10 min walk saved us a ton of time and money. We would definitely stay here again in a future visit to Orlando.
The only down side was the 10a check out time since we wanted to sleep in on our last day. (We had a lot of fun.)
Thanks for a great location.
We were very disappointed when we arrived to a smelly, dirty looking unit. According to the owner they had just cleaned the carpets, which apparently didn't dry all the way, leaving an overwhelming musty smell. In my opinion, that's no excuse. We went to open the windows and air out the place, but found a couple of them broke and all of them dirty on the inside and outside. There are a ton of scuffs on the walls, which makes it look dirty. The edges of the carpet by the walls are also dirty and look like they have never been cleaned. After calling the 24 hour hotline a couple of times, I finally got a response and spoke with the owner. He did send someone to clean the carpets again, but it was a bit of a hassle to have to deal with this on our vacation. We did love that we were close to the pool, on the bottom level, and walking distance to a grocery store that has everything.
The overall experience was fine. The directions were clear and the apartment was easy to get into. The pool is across the parking lot and there was always ample parking. The apartment was clean and they have fixed the towel problem - there are now many sets above the washer and dryer and a dishrag and towel in the kitchen. There are also many pots for cooking and good number of glasses, plates, and utensils (though no pans or corkscrew!). The apartment is handicapped accessible - with the first floor location, lower light switches, and larger room to maneuver. There still is no salt or pepper in the shakers, no soap in the dispensers, and no more than 1 trash bag in each of the bins, which I guess is typical VRBO.
While the apartment itself was clean, it had a significant amount of wear that made it seem dirty. The carpets were horrendously stained, the walls were terribly scuffed (and in some places just plain filthy), and my sheets had stains on them. The mattresses were ok, but clearly very old. The price was on the cheaper end of the other condos we looked at in this complex, and once we arrived we understood why. The tube televisions were a nuisance. Cable TV is such now that the picture sometimes gets distorted on these super old TVs, but DVDs played fine. If the owner updated the condo with some fresh paint, new carpet, and new sheets this place would've been five stars. For the price, the place is acceptable. But in the future, I would pay an extra $40 a night to stay at one of the more luxurious condos this complex has to offer.
This is the first time I have used VRBO, so maybe some of these things are already known by travelers. The condo was in a great location with easy access to Rosen Shingle Creek where our conference was being held. Publix market was within walking distance which was great, but I would have thought that the salt and pepper shakers would have had some salt and pepper in them. Also it would have been nice to have a dishcloth or sponge to clean things with instead of using a bathroom washcloth. The bare necessities were very bare and I had to search the condo to find extra towels even though only two of us stayed there. Having free wifi was great. The only other suggestion would be to upgrade the TVs to larger flat screens which are so inexpensive now. There was a lot of rain, thunder and lightning the week we were there which was a welcome change from the drought we are experiencing in California. Very close to shopping, recreation, theme parks, restaurants, etc. Overall a nice place to stay!
We really loved the resort and had a wonderful stay, for the most part. The process was hassle-free and the location couldn't have been better. It is a great central location to all the parks and International Drive. The condo was really clean and well taken care of. The pool was very convenient and had a fantastic layout. The condo is right in front of the pool. The pool was very large, so even if a lot of people are in it, you don't feel crowded. There is also a grocery store within walking distance.
There were a few things that I would like to share that could improve the experience. These are some things that would make me hesitant about rebooking this condo:
-The temperature wouldn't go lower than 70, this made it very hot, especially with several people taking showers and blow dryers running while getting ready. I could understand 68, but 70 is just not cool enough for Florida heat and humidity. When you pay good money, you want to be comfortable!
-there were only three towels and two wash cloths for a party of 6. This would have caused us to wash them before all of our party could get ready. So, we had an unnecessary expense of buying towels and wash cloths.
-the washer ringer was very slow, almost to the point of stopping. You might want to have it replaced.
-lastly, the main bathroom had terrible lighting. You couldn't see to get ready at all. It appeared that it was supposed to have a second light that wasn't installed.
This was just a few inconveniences that would have made the stay great. For the most part, it's a great place! Just needs some minor fixes.
