Sleeps 4 in two bedrooms: 1 double bed & 2 single beds, two bathrooms.

All around breathtaking panoramic views of ocean, village and mountains , in a renovated 19th century captain’s mansion, above the Hydra harbor, surrounded by seagulls, wrapped around by own terraces and gardens. Completely independent with two main entrances and exclusive access to its own gardens and three terraces. Very private yet in close proximity to the port and all facilities. Fully furnished, modern and functional with an antique touch and high aesthetics. Lying on the South side of the harbor and facing the East, it is a privileged building protected from the notoriously burning afternoon sun during summer at Hydra town.

Not suitable for very young children if not well attended, or unfit persons because of stone stairs. Free Wifi connection. Check calendar below for availability.

At arrival guests are welcome with a basket of fruits, local delicacies and wine.

Wonderful apartment with stunning view

The listing and pictures did not do the property justice, Its a wonderful combination of a tradition historic building sympathetically restored with all modern facilities. It has stunning views over the harbour, town and Saronic Gulf.
The owners provided more than we expected ,including beach towels, bottled water, toiletries, plus a generous starter pack of tea, coffee, sugar etc. Too many other extras to mention.
Very effective aircon, hot water and showers, not always found in Greece! The apartment was spotless.The beds were very comfortable and the terraces,and gardens were much enjoyed.
The owner met us at the port with mules to carry our bags up to the property and was very friendly and helpful with information and advise en route. There are a number of ways to reach the Seagulls Nest,some longer but easier others shorter but much harder. You will be much fitter when you leave but the views and the property are worth every step. There is interest at every turn and the labyrinth of alleyways distracts you from the effort of the climb.
The four corners supermarket is a reasonably level 5 mims walk, passing Leonard Cohen's house on the way.
We can't recommend this property highly enough.

Long counryside walks and exploring the unique and preserved architecture village enloying variety of views, breathing the absolutely clean air of this no-cars and no-mopeds island.

Wild herbs in winter and India figs (prickly pears) in summer harvesting in the private gardens and in the surrounding fields,
