Spotless, beautifully redecorated first floor oceanfront two bedroom, building has elevator.
One of many reasons you're probably attracted to Surfside Beach is that there are no high rise buildings to detract from the pleasant beach village atmosphere. However, not many of the condo buildings have elevators. South Shores II is a great small complex that has an elevator, and carts to making unloading so much easier. Better yet, this beautifully redecorated condo is on the first floor, just a few steps up, if you don't like waiting for elevators.
Enjoy a real beach vacation feeling from the spacious first floor balcony. Relax inside the comfortably furnished living room after full vacation days, take in some TV on the large flat screen from two recliners and a large sofa. The kitchen has new granite countertops on lots of preparation space, with a full complement of pots, pans, appliances and utensils.
The large bathroom has a long, wide vanity with a new granite countertop and two sinks. The shower is in a separate room and has a new enclosure, faucet and shower head. Both bedrooms access the bathroom from a private hallway. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and a flat screen TV. The second bedroom has twin beds.
South Shores II has a full size swimming pool just off the beach. There are plenty of lounge chairs, it won't be crowded with only 16 units in the complex. There are two parking places per condo at South Shores II. The soft warm sand of Surfside Beach is a short stroll from the pool deck.
Small dogs (<20 lbs) may be considered with individual approval, with $200 additional rent. Please call for approval before reserving with pets. Pets are prohibited unless specifically approved in advance. Surfside Beach city ordnance prohibits dogs on the beach between May 15 and September 15.
Surfside Beach is perfect for a family vacation, away from the traffic and crowds, but still a short drive to the wide variety of attractions, shopping, dining and entertainment the Grand Strand has to offer. The Surfside Beach pier, restaurants and shops are a few blocks south from South Shores II. Water slides and amusement parks that kids love are right out on business 17. Luxury shopping and dining are a few minutes north in the Market Commons area. Just a short drive north are all the attractions, dining, shopping and nightlife of Myrtle Beach; Broadway at the Beach, Coastal Grand shopping center, the Myrtle Beach boardwalk, amusement parks, and one of the world's largest Ferris wheels. For a unique cultural experience, Brookgreen Gardens displays one of the world's largest collections of sculpture by American artists in a lush outdoor setting, along with a zoo and butterfly garden, it's just a few minutes south.
It's easy to see that family oceanfront memories will be made at South Shores II, is it not?
The person renting this property must be at least 25 years old, have a valid credit card, and be preset for the entire rental.

The shower water pressure was low as well as the pressure in the kitchen sink. I would recommend for friends or relatives to stay. The view was spectacular. I found the condo to be clean and comfortable.
The pictures did not lie. The place was just as described. We loved the double sink in the bathroom and well-stocked kitchen. The tile and wood floors were easy to keep clean with the vacuum provided. The "welcome basket" provided many necessities that lasted through the week. The elevator in the complex was much needed as we were allowed to bring our 13-year-old dog who has trouble with stairs. It is a very relaxing setting with beautiful ocean views. The bed was comfortable and the new couch and loveseat were so comfortable. We will definitely come back.
We stayed in this unit for a week, over the July 4th holiday. We had a family of four plus our small dog. It is a very comfortable unit, with many upgrades (granite countertops, tile flooring and no carpet) and new furniture (the sofa with built-in recliners was a big hit). The kitchen is sized large enough to prepare full meals and has all the dishes/glassware/utensils you'd ever need. The washer/dryer was such a nice plus when staying at the beach.
The best feature for us was that at high tide it almost feels like you can reach out from the balcony and touch the ocean. We spent a lot of time just watching the waves. The building has a pool but this unit does not overlook it, which makes for less noise and more views of the beach.
The only negatives for us were the bedrooms. The smaller guest bedroom with two twin beds is in the middle of the unit and has no windows, making it feel a little cramped and dark. The master bedroom faces the street and not the beach, so you can't sleep listening to the waves. But the upside is that the bedrooms are both very quiet and we had no issues sleeping in.
If you are looking at this unit during summer months consider coming over July 4th - we sat on the balcony and watched fireworks all up and down the beach. It was fantastic, we could even see all the way up to Myrtle Beach and their huge fireworks show. The South Carolinians definitely love their fireworks! It was one of the best Independence Days we have experienced.
The unit is ocean front and clean. There were a bit too many knick knacks and breakable items around for me to feel comfortable with the kids (age 8/9 and very responsible). I felt I was on watch at all time to not break something. The decor is dated, and the master bed is small and noisy. The units are not very sound proof, we could hear the upstairs neighbors' young child running the halls at 6am and the vacuum sounds like a tornado. Also they were working on the roof while there over spring break! It was not a nice awakening to hear the BOOM of shingles falling 3 stories into a metal trailer at 9am. So much for any sleep on vacation. Overall, the place was average and the noises and overdecoration made it hard to actually relax. I won't be coming back to this unit, though the beach was nice and the view good.
Myrtle Beach is a unique vacation destination that has a little bit of everything, and no matter which one of our Myrtle Beach home rentals you choose, you’ll be nearby beautiful beaches, shopping centers, golf courses, fishing, restaurants, theaters and nightlife. Perfect for either families or couples, our Myrtle Beach home rentals offer luxurious and convenient amenities; beautiful décor; access to pristine beaches; and magical views of the sparkling Atlantic Ocean!
The Grand Strand is a large stretch of beautiful beaches where many of our Myrtle Beach home rentals are located. Once a hiding place popular among notorious pirates, today among America’s most popular vacation destinations, Myrtle Beach’s Grand Strand offers a wide variety of recreation and entertainment activities. Start with miles and miles of golden soft sand on a shore that slopes gently into the Atlantic. The Grand Strand was voted #1 in the USA (#6 in the world) in a recent poll of frequent travelers.
The communities just south of our Grand Strand Myrtle Beach home rentals, Surfside Beach and Garden City, are our most “family friendly” areas and offer scores of reasonably priced ocean front Myrtle Beach condo rentals for family enjoyment of the warm sunshine, sand, and the vast Atlantic. Many of these condos are large enough to accommodate several families, a perfect reunion setting.
Golf is the “national” pastime of The Grand Strand. Some say you can play a different course every day of the year. That’s probably an exaggeration, but certainly you can play 36 holes a day for a week, (or a month) without seeing the same course twice. There are well over 100 golf courses to choose from near many of our Myrtle Beach home rentals. Fishing is the lesser-known area sport. Inland waterways and shallow coastline areas offer anglers lots of action, with guides available to show the way.
A perfect family vacation area, there are dozens of attractions and amusement parks close to many of our Myrtle Beach home rentals for kids of all ages. The new SkyWheel, a 200 foot high Ferris wheel, is an amazing attraction and is said to be among the largest in the world. Also not far from many of our Myrtle Beach home rentals are zoos, an aquarium (with a dozen species of sharks!), science and curiosity exhibits and museums for family entertainment. Surfside Beach and Garden City both offer amusement parks the kids and parents alike will love.
For a combination of art, culture and nature many of our Myrtle Beach home rentals are right near Brookgreen Gardens. This 9,000 acre park exhibits one of the largest collections of sculpture by American artists in the world. The manicured lawns with walkways and pools beautifully enhance these spectacular works of art.
Restaurants are everywhere, with options for every taste and budget. Just about every cuisine in the world seems to be represented all only a short ways from many of our Myrtle Beach home rentals. Seafood is, of course, the staple, there are a large selection of places to get all you want. Murrell’s Inlet says it’s the Seafood Capital of South Carolina, and boasts a long row of highly regarded seafood restaurants to prove it.
Nightlife? If you’re not worn out yet, choose from live popular music, professionally produced stage shows, and “tribute” acts that pay homage to the legends of popular music, playing “oldies” that are sure to bring back memories.
