Kalama Terrace is in walking distance to EVERY imaginable amenity. Great restaurants, shopping, snorkeling, swimming, sun tanning, playing, movie theaters - you name it. Not to mention a fabulous, newly tiled pool that can be viewed from the lanai.
Washer/dryer facility just steps away from the unit. There is a laundry basket and bag and soap for your convenience so you don't have to worry about it. Parking stall also included should you rent a car.
World famous beaches just steps away. Charley Young, Kamaole Beach I, II and III, Cove Park and Kalama Park. Airport just half hour drive.

We're from Calgary, Alberta Canada and fell in love with Maui when we first visited in 2006. We knew we had to have our little piece of paradise so we purchased this unit in Kalama Terrace.
We love the Hawaiian culture, the laid back attitude of Maui and the beauty found all over the island.

This part of Kihei is so great because it's in walking distance to so many great amenities. Plus, the beaches in this part of Maui are family friendly and beautiful.
During our first stay in Maui, we stayed in South Kihei, in this Kalama Terrace Condo. We were extremely satisfied and it was a pleasure to stay there.
The entire condo is newly renovated and is really nice and with modern decor. The kitchen is very well equipped and offers plenty of space. The bed was comfortable and you can use the couch as a foldout bed. The Unit is set up with beach towels, beach mats, umbrella, boogie board, picnic cooler etc. The grounds, pool area and condo itself were clean and tidy. Everything was in really good shape and the unit was exactly as the pictures showed.
The building is located in South Kihei just a short distance away from CharleyYoung Beach and the Kamaole Beach Parks. It is conveniently located to the shopping centre, many restaurants and nightspots (about 5- 10 minutes’ walk). If you like to go surfing, there is a surfing school just a short walk away from the building and shops where you can also rent bikes, snorkelling equipment and etc.
The owner of the condo couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. We were treated well and felt very welcome. It’s truly a great place to stay and a very reasonable price. We hope to return to this unit someday.
This was our first stay in Maui and we couldn't have asked for any better accommodation other than this condo. Clean, bright, easy access to EVERYTHING! Staying here was like staying at home but with the added benefit of a pool and a beach 2 mins down the road. During our stay the building was extremely quiet and relaxing. We rented a car so that we could drive the whole island so having a parking stall at the condominium was a bonus. After driving the island and seeing all of the "resort type" areas, we are so glad to have stayed in Cynthia's condo.
Trust me, you wont regret renting from these folks!
This was our second stay at Cynthia's lovely Kalama Terrace condo (& fifth trip to Maui). This is a beautiful & comfortable condo! The photos are very accurate and you will find your new Maui "home" in this condo! You can relax in the condo or by the great pool! We only ate out a few times per week because we can use the grill by the pool or the full size gas stove. The pool is very nice & gave us an opportunity to meet other vacationers and owners. Very conveniently, Kalama Terrace is 2 blocks from Charley Young Beach - our favorite - OR 3 blocks to Cove Park & beach. Kihei is the best area, we think, on Maui and this condo is the best! (We visited 4 condos in different locations and none even begin to compare to "our" Kalama Terrace condo!)
There are many restaurants to choose from but we LOVED Eskimo Candy - just north of the condo - with many fish and shrimp choices! Also, Kihei Car Rental is the best rental company we have dealt with and they are located in Kihei. Check them out!
Cynthia is great to work and VERY quick to respond if there is a question or issue! We appreciate her sharing this condo with us and we will be back!

Here are my reason why I recommend about it so much:
1) Apartment quality : new kitchen, new gas stove, new fridge, great layout, nice balcony, nice and clean shower/restroom, give you a feel that it is your own home!
2) Cynthia the owner - she was very accessible and available when needed the whole payment process went smooth
3) Location - south part of Maui - great place! 1 min walking to the beach, 5 min walking to shopping center with restuarants.
4) A condo with house feeling - lots of extras like shnorkel and beach gear, twoels and beach towels, spices in the kitchen, books, give you a home feeling in a condo
5) GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY

My husband & I are a young couple who stayed at this beautiful condo for our 2 week honeymoon & we couldn't of been happier with it. The pictures were exactly how the condo looked, very very clean. It was a nice touch to have little things like laundry detergent, dish soap, tupperware (for packed lunches) & all the attire for the beach, especially the big beach towels, umbrella & boogie boards. The surrounding units were very quiet & the pool man was out cleaning it every morning. The location couldn't have been better to walk to beaches, restaurants, shops & pubs. We would definitely recommend this condo to our friends & family. We can't wait to return to stay again!
We rented this condo for 10 days in February. The property owners were quick to answer any questions we had promptly and were very helpful recommending places to visit and things to do.
We had prebooked a car prior to our arrival but only needed it to get to and from the airport as the property is so close to everything.
I'll start with the property itself. It's a newly renovated 1 bedroom condo that is full of everything that you could possibly need and extremely clean. It has a pull out couch in the living room, the kitchen is fully equipped, bed in master is very comfortable and the balcony offers a view of the pool and is very peaceful. The front closet has chairs for the beach, kid's beach toys, beach mats and a cooler. We were able to do our laundry as there were community washers and dryers on the first floor.
Once you leave the property, you can walk a block down to the main road and walk across the street to the beach.
You can turn right and you'll come across a beach area where you'll find people surfing or body boarding. If you go a little further, you'll find a park with benches and a huge green space. There were also beach volleyball courts and public washrooms. There was a great running/walking path along the water and we were able to see whales and turtles on numerous occasions, beautiful. You would also find a starbucks, grocery store and numerous eating places along the way. I highly recommend three's bar and grill, great food and good happy hour menu.
If you turn left instead of right you will come across another beach which is quite a bit bigger but equally as beautiful. There are also a number of restaurants with amazing views there as well.
We went there to relax and enjoy the beautiful island of Maui and we were able to do just that. We prepared quite a few of our meals inside the condo and were able to do so with no problems. The condo was clean, modern and comfortable. We will stay there again in the future and have not hesitated to recommend this property to our friends.
This was our second stay at this condo and it was better than the first as we are now familiar with the surroundings which are close to everything you need and more, very safe area and only minutes from great beaches. Cynthia is a pleasure to deal with and is on top of all your requests or problems which we have never had . You can not go wrong with this little peace of paradise, thank you again for sharing with us this gem Cynthia,we are already trying to arrange our next trip back.Mahalo
WALK TO EVERYTHING IMAGINABLE!! Restaurants, shopping, parks, beaches, surfing. Kalama Park is a 5 minute walk away, skating park, playground, public restrooms, fields, picnics, etc. Cove Park right next to Kalama Park where you can learn to surf or paddle surf. Charlie Young Beach, less than a 5 minute walk - beautiful, family friendly beach with fresh water outdoor shower, shade and wonderful snorkeling. No better location than here. Starbucks, Foodland, Denny's all within walking distance. Fine dining, souvenir shops, craft fairs within minutes. Kamaole Beach I just minutes away on foot with lifeguards, bathrooms, etc. - great for kids.
