Children will enjoy the large yard and the quiet lane for hours of bike rides and butterfly chases. Settle in at night for a family meal, a movie, a cozy fire and tales of the day. Star gazing is a must heavens feel close and the night skies amazing. Pack your hiking boots and throw in the cross country spot is incredible!

I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
I was somewhat unhappy with the location.
The vacation rental was spotless.
The property manager was very helpful.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.

Nice stay but the property need some work.

Rating Details:
I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
I was more than happy with the location.
The vacation rental was very dirty.
The property manager was more than helpful.
Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

Reviewer Comments:
Upon our arrival, the property seemed nice. Once we began to look around we noticed that it had not been cleaned very well. We found a dead mouse behind the tv when we went to plug it in. There was mouse poop on the kitchen counter that was noticed when the coffee pot was moved and in the couch cushions. The shower had a variety of different types of hair left in it, including pieces on a used bar of soap. The shower did not have hot water. It was only lukewarm. There was also a few little things that broke when we went to use them, including the snow shovel. After talking to Best of Canaan, a deal was reached to help improve our stay. In spite of all the little things that were wrong with this property, we would stay there again for the price and unique charm.
