Beautiful modern mountain cabin with all high end amenities INSIDE national forest.
Summer and Winter wonderland!
The home is all on one level - no stairs of any kind (except the exterior stairs down to the hutub) King bed in the master and two queen beds in the guest rooms - all plush pillow top beds.
Awesome master bath with giant cast iron tub, perfect for two if you don't feel like sitting in the hot tub :-)
Extreme privacy - this is one of the only properties like this in the Santa Fe area - a true mountain paradise get away, yet so close to town.
Out door enthusiasts will love it here, bring your mountain bikes in the summer and your cross country ski's in the winter, ski right out the front door!
The home has ample deck and patio space overlooking the creek and hot tub, perfect for out door entertaining.
Cool temps in the summer when downtown is hot! Encantado resort is right down the road for world class dining and spa services.
There is a 2 mile dirt road to the property and the last 1/2 mile is a little bumpy and it can get muddy or snowy depending on the weather...
Please note that an SUV or all wheel drive vehicle may be preferable in case of inclement weather, especially winter months when a 4x4 is needed.

My name is Brian and I have lived in this paradise for over 17 years and now its time to share.
Brian Bodei purchased this cabin in 1995
This is the only location thats this close to Santa Fe, inside the national forest, on a stream that affords total privacy and high quality of living. I feel so blessed to have been able to live up here all these years. I can never get over how beautiful Pacheco Canyon is!
This home was designed by and award winning designer - no boring architecture here. The home was planned to feel like the outdoors and indoors were one, and I truly think we succeeded. Sitting by the creek, watching the humming birds, having margaritas on the deck - or in the hot tub. Mountain biking and skiing right out the front door - endless miles of hiking and exploring, watching the birds - it never gets old! The only problem with staying up here is that you will not want to leave....Santa whaa?
I stayed at this home for 4 days and it was nothing short of spectacular. The roaring stream just below the house provided a great secluded remote feel without being too far from the city's social scene. The house layout with the big beautiful windows facing the stream and forest was a backdrop that you couldn't get anywhere else. Would recommend to anybody!
Our second stay, here at this wonderful cabin, and snow all weekend! The cabin is set in the most amazing location with wildlife, hiking, creek, etc.. The cabin is always clean and everything you could want. We plan to come back again and again!
Thanks, Brian! We love your home!
One imagines going on vacation as a means of getting away from it all; to go somewhere that offers peace and solitude within the beauty of nature. What one doesn't imagine is how quickly you can be transported to achieving all of your desires without even realizing it. It is only after you leave, that you truly reflect on the magic of the scenery that surrounds this home. The cabin offers all the amenities of comfort while maintaining the connection with nature. Memories abound of the dawn light revealing snow on the limbs of the trees, listening to the birds singing their song, and finding your inner rhythm in tune with the sanctuary of nature. The ease of cooking in the well equipped kitchen, dining by candlelight, feeling the warmth of the blazing fire, and listening to the music flow is only one of the scenes that can be painted into your memory of your stay at the cabin. Much gratitude is given to the owner of the home, Brian. Brian was very helpful with tips about hiking locations, day trips, local dining and making sure our stay was one to be remembered. The ease and options of exploring outside the cabin are endless, but at the end of the day, you will find yourself longing to get back to enjoy the luxury of the steam shower, the soaks in the hot tub and the utter relaxation of your mind and your body as you slip into an unrealized peace.
Obviously the home would be perfect for a family or group of friend, but it is AMAZING as a romantic getaway! Brain as fantastic as far as dealing with our late evening arrival and the home was fully stocked with everything we needed. We found a grocery store, on the way into town that was close and couldn't have been happier when we arrived.
Upon the sun rising (bring your blinders if you don't like a light flooded bedroom) we awoke to a beautiful setting on the water with a fantastic hot tub to enjoy the view. Off the main drag (there was a little trip down a dirt road to get there) this place was exactly for what we were looking!
Seemingly less that 20 mins to the casino and 30 into (and parked) Santa Fe we had a blast checking everything out the area had to offer. The sound system was awesome and the accommodations were more than comfortable. We WILL be back for a future vacation.
Our family of 6 adults chose this place for spending Christmas this year. Boy, did we get lucky! This is a beautiful house in a beautiful location-Santa Fe National Forest. Being away from the city is not a problem but a plus. Brian, the owner, is wonderful in making sure we have all we need. Being in the woods, he provides nuts and grains for the wildlife which delighted us every morning with their antics and beauty. We are going to figure out how to come back here in another season. Highly recommend.
We loved staying in this lovely home in the Santa Fe forest. It is a neat combination of modern, rustic & zen styles. Surrounded by trees with a little stream right off the deck really brings the outside in. The home is well appointed with a great kitchen & awesome master bath. The large soaking tub & steam shower makes for your own spa experience. We were here for Thanksgiving with family in the Santa Fe area & enjoyed nice weather daily. Lots of hiking right out the door. Had a great time! Thanks Brian.
