Overview

Tesuque Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Beautiful modern mountain cabin with all high end amenities INSIDE national forest.

Summer and Winter wonderland!

The home is all on one level - no stairs of any kind (except the exterior stairs down to the hutub) King bed in the master and two queen beds in the guest rooms - all plush pillow top beds.

Awesome master bath with giant cast iron tub, perfect for two if you don't feel like sitting in the hot tub :-)

Extreme privacy - this is one of the only properties like this in the Santa Fe area - a true mountain paradise get away, yet so close to town.

Out door enthusiasts will love it here, bring your mountain bikes in the summer and your cross country ski's in the winter, ski right out the front door!

The home has ample deck and patio space overlooking the creek and hot tub, perfect for out door entertaining.

Cool temps in the summer when downtown is hot! Encantado resort is right down the road for world class dining and spa services.

There is a 2 mile dirt road to the property and the last 1/2 mile is a little bumpy and it can get muddy or snowy depending on the weather...

Please note that an SUV or all wheel drive vehicle may be preferable in case of inclement weather, especially winter months when a 4x4 is needed.

Please read the reviews and check out the video tour!

About Brian Bodei

My name is Brian and I have lived in this paradise for over 17 years and now its time to share.

Brian Bodei purchased this cabin in 1995

Why Brian Bodei chose Tesuque

This is the only location thats this close to Santa Fe, inside the national forest, on a stream that affords total privacy and high quality of living. I feel so blessed to have been able to live up here all these years. I can never get over how beautiful Pacheco Canyon is!

What makes this cabin unique

This home was designed by and award winning designer - no boring architecture here. The home was planned to feel like the outdoors and indoors were one, and I truly think we succeeded. Sitting by the creek, watching the humming birds, having margaritas on the deck - or in the hot tub. Mountain biking and skiing right out the front door - endless miles of hiking and exploring, watching the birds - it never gets old! The only problem with staying up here is that you will not want to leave....Santa whaa?

Hiking, habitat and host, the perfect trifecta

  • 5 of 5

Brilliant place. Brian (the owner) made us feel comfortable and the place was even better than expected. My college friend and I brought our pregnant wives to this secluded retreat for R+R. We enjoyed the views, soaking tub, steam shower, wild birds, and nearby hiking. Food was a focus in a dream kitchen while overlooking the babbling brook. We hiked to the waterfall via Rio en Medio trail and made several short trips into Santa Fe for fine dining, and gallery perusing. The place is advertised accurately, the host was gracious and helpful (he turned us onto the local hiking) and we wanted for nothing. There were many wonderful unexpected surprises like a quaint wood stove, steam shower, bird seed (to draw in some gorgeous birds), and a gorgeous but short drive into the center of the city. Due to the secluded and wonderful nature of the cabin you will need a 4x4 which only adds to the appeal.

Secluded Serenity

  • 5 of 5

This property was amazing! Hot tub, babbling brook that runs in front of the house was absolute heaven! Our dog chasing her ball across the brook was like Disney World for her!

We loved the architecture of the house especially all of the natural light that flows throughout. Amenities were top notch and Brian made sure we had everything we could want.

Truly O-u-t-s-t-a-n-d-i-n-g !

  • 5 of 5

This is the most amazing place we have ever stayed in Santa Fe! The moment we pulled up, we were beyond impressed. Once inside, we were truly amazed! The ambiance is Inspiring ... All the features and fixtures Top Notch. We did not want to leave but exploring made the stay even better (if that is even possible) ... The village of Tesuque is charming and Santa Fe was less than 20 minutes away ... we did not want for anything. We Loved cooking in the gourmet kitchen with the most fabulous views imaginable. The decor is both Stunning and warm & comfy at the same time. The babbling creek is so serene and peaceful ... The hot tub right next to it!! We also enjoyed the beautiful snow while we were there! We loved the wildlife and looked forward to feeding the birds and squirrels every morning, which were waiting for us everyday when we woke up. Our 24th anniversary was better than we could have ever hoped for.... Brian you have an absolutely one of a kind outstanding place and we hope to return again & again!!

Thank you!!

Spectacular stay

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at this home for 4 days and it was nothing short of spectacular. The roaring stream just below the house provided a great secluded remote feel without being too far from the city's social scene. The house layout with the big beautiful windows facing the stream and forest was a backdrop that you couldn't get anywhere else. Would recommend to anybody!

Serendipity

  • 5 of 5

One imagines going on vacation as a means of getting away from it all; to go somewhere that offers peace and solitude within the beauty of nature. What one doesn't imagine is how quickly you can be transported to achieving all of your desires without even realizing it. It is only after you leave, that you truly reflect on the magic of the scenery that surrounds this home. The cabin offers all the amenities of comfort while maintaining the connection with nature. Memories abound of the dawn light revealing snow on the limbs of the trees, listening to the birds singing their song, and finding your inner rhythm in tune with the sanctuary of nature. The ease of cooking in the well equipped kitchen, dining by candlelight, feeling the warmth of the blazing fire, and listening to the music flow is only one of the scenes that can be painted into your memory of your stay at the cabin. Much gratitude is given to the owner of the home, Brian. Brian was very helpful with tips about hiking locations, day trips, local dining and making sure our stay was one to be remembered. The ease and options of exploring outside the cabin are endless, but at the end of the day, you will find yourself longing to get back to enjoy the luxury of the steam shower, the soaks in the hot tub and the utter relaxation of your mind and your body as you slip into an unrealized peace.
