After a day of fun-filled outdoor activities, cozy up to a crackling fire and soft music, with a glass of wine and good book.
Our sleeping arrangements are ideal for a party of eight: The gracious king master suite, charming queen second bedroom and cozy third bedroom (with 4 twins) are a bedtime treat as you sink into designer bedding and luxurious hotel linens. And there's nothing better than catching up with family or friends over a delectable meal or dining al fresco in the comfort of our spacious screened-in patio.
Good times begin at the Lake Club where two glistening pools overlook the majestic lake and mountain vista. Soak in the sunshine while the kids try out the pool slide. Take in a doubles game at nearby tennis courts or explore the lake by canoe, kayak or pontoon. The rustic lounge and bar hits the spot for a nite cap or a sun-break. Rainy day? No problem, relax in the lodge-style tavern, treat yourself to a delectable meal, a movie in the 20-seat theater or catch up on the latest score in front of a roaring fire.
There's something for everyone at Bear Lake Reserve: Over 15 miles of hiking trails and walking paths, a Nicklaus Design® 9-hole golf course with 3400'+ panoramic views, lake streams and ponds teeming with trout and more. Chris & Dawn and Tom & Angie are proud owners of the Cottage at Bear Lake Reserve.
When we aren't busy with our careers in sales and marketing or contracting business, we like to travel locally or internationally and enjoy entertaining family and friends. We also like to spend as much time at our cottage and Bear Lake as possible. It's the perfect escape.
Our interests include outdoor sports and activities, sight-seeing, enjoying the arts, attending cultural events, and sharing a mutual love of great wines.
Giving back to community is also important to us and we've volunteered and raised money for a number of organizations including the American Heart Association, March of Dimes, Breast Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association, Big Brothers and Big Sisters and Second Harvest.

Bear Lake Reserve® has blended unspoiled nature, outdoor entertainment and luxurious amenities seamlessly to create a memorable vacation experience for kids of all ages. The surrounding mountains, pristine waters, private resort and neighboring communities ensure that there's something appealing to every interest and taste year round, 24/7. And the location is ideal—you're far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city yet close to art and culture, entertainment and a host of outdoor activities. You can do just about anything or absolutely nothing surrounded by nature at its absolute best.
We consider our cottage at Bear Lake Reserve as our home away from home. It's the perfect retreat for every season—mild springs give way to sun-filled summers, crisp fall evenings with stunning foliage and the quiet stillness of snow covered winters. Serene woods, a crystal clear brook that runs along our property and nearby trails provide the perfect setting to slip away and recharge.
My family and I stayed at the Mountain Creek cottage on Bear Lake Reserve in the Spring for 7 nights and had an absolute fabulous time. The cottage was extremely clean and well furnished. The cottage is so convenient to many natural attractions both on the mountain and off the mountain. We had so much fun up there we seriously contemplated buying our own place like the Mountain Creek in Bear Lake Reserve. We will definitely be back and will rent again from Sundog. Both Caleb and Mark were tremendous when helping us pick the right home and throughout the entire rental process. Sundog. Bear Lake and Mountain Creek get a 5 star rating from us.
If you are looking for a relaxing vacation, you must check this place out. This is not your average cabin in the woods. This is a luxury cottage home with all the fixings. We really enjoyed the beautiful house especially the screen in porch in the back. The hiking trails through the woods are wonderful with lots of opportunity to explore nature. The golf course on top of the mountain has an absolutely breath-taking view. And then, there is the lake, the club house that offers everything you ever need for a relaxing week in the mountains. We have recommended it to all of our friends and we'll be booking another week soon.
This cottage was a great retreat. Perfectly located in the mountains, quiet, peaceful. Sitting on the back porch in the morning , listening to the birds and the forest sounds was a great way to wake up. The short drive to the lodge was easy and the pool was nice and right along the lake. A very relaxing time. We'll definitely be back
Went there on a "Girls Only" trip!!! The Cottage was spacious and felt like home but better. The screen in porch was my favorite, between the wood buring fireplace and the sound of the stream you couldn't ask for a more relaxing space. Would also be great for a family since there are 3 bedroom. We mostly cook at the cottage since there is a grill on the deck and a large kitchen. Can't wait to go back, would pick this cottage again!!! Thanks, Patty from Cincinnati, Ohio
The cottage is clean, beautifully decorated. Perfect for the family or great for a girls weekend. We loved the seclusion of the cottage & took advantage of the pool & workout accomodations at the club house. Had a wonderful afternoon on the pontoon boat exploring the lake & surrounding paths up into the mountains. Can't wait to go back!!
This property is awesome! We spent a girl weekend and had the best time. The clubhouse has a great pool and view of the lake. Perfect place to just sit, relax and spend time with friends. The screened in porch is perfect for an early morning cup of coffee and conversation. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing weekend away.
This cottage was perfect for a getaway with my sisters. It was clean, roomy and perfect for us to laugh, watch movies and have a fire! We loved spending a day at the Biltmore and coming back for an evening of movies.
