What a dream
I arrived in Bonaire after a particularly brutal few months in PA weather wise. Met some friends in Atlanta for this trip and off we went. What a dream come true. From the moment we arrived Jerome and his people were on top of things. We were met at the airport and escorted to the house. We were shown everything we needed to know about the house and town. Restaurants were recommended as well as things to do and see. Jerome helped us to the store and explained the Dutch equivalency of our American needs. He was always there when we needed him, which was not much-but you knew you could count on him. What a wonderful, vibrant and friendly man.
The house is lovely. Light and airy feel to it and nicely appointed. There was nothing that I did not need that was not available. Found this true particularly for the kitchen. I cooked most of the meals we ate and never once said, "I need or cannot find..."
The view is spectacular and the weather unbeatable. A constant 80 F or there about. Not much fluctuation at night. Two dive spots right outside the house and snorkeling equipment in the garage. Pool was wonderful and the back porch was the perfect place to hang out at all times of the day or night.
The bedrooms and baths were great. Master bath is wonderful. Beds were comfortable and the singles can and will be made into kings if that is what you need or want. Towels and linens supplied, including for the beach. Jerome has really thought of everything.
Town is not far from the house, with a major grocery store close and a local grocer even closer. Easy to find and everything you could possibly want. The people on the island are friendly and willing to answer questions if you have any. Talked to a number of shop keepers who were very pleasant and readily talked culture and island information.
I am not a person who returns to many places for a revisit. There is so much to see in this world. That said, I would return here. It was perfect. The are lots of things to do on the island, should you chose or you can just relax in the luxury of the house with the views and a good book or two. It is really what you want to make of it.
I cannot recommend this place any more highly. A must go!
