Palermo Hollywood House Rental Photos and Description

Stunning French style house with 2 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms in Palermo Hollywood

'La Petite Maison' is a luxury 2 bedroom, French style house located on a quaint, tree-lined street in the safe and upscale residential neighbourhood of Palermo Hollywood. It is in an excellent location that is a short walk to many of the city's best restaurants, cafes and shopping, and has easy access to public transport. In a local vacation rental market that is saturated by modern apartments, we offer guests something truly unique - a beautiful and secure restored HOUSE with all the charm and character that Buenos Aires is famed for. The house is fully renovated and decorated to a high standard and equipped with all modern conveniences. It is compact enough for a couple, but works equally well for groups of up to 5 people (there is an optional 3rd bedroom with sofabed). In addition, the house is family managed so we ensure guests receive personal support and service throughout their stay. Please take a look at the photos to see what you could experience. We also invite you to read the reviews of previous guests. Thank you and we hope to welcome you to La Petite Maison on your next vacation in Buenos Aires.

Other features include: optional 3rd bedroom with sofabed; free WiFi (wireless internet); a local cell phone for guests' use (guests pay for credit as needed); cable TV with HD; DVD/CD; sun lounges on terrace; private dining patio; 'parilla' (traditional Argentine grill/BBQ); maid service once a week for bookings of 7 nights or more; washing machine; air conditioning; back-to-base alarm system; and a safe. There are three small supermarkets 5 minutes walk from the house that have most essentials needed. Transportation access is excellent with the subway (Subte) 5 minutes walk, taxis plentiful and buses just a couple of blocks away.

About The Owner

We are an Argentine/Australian couple who spend our time between our two countries. When not in Buenos Aires, we rent our house to guests from all over the world. Our house is managed by an English-speaking family member who is on hand to assist guests with all house matters and provide basic tourism advice as well as guidance on the neighborhood and all its offerings. Keeping the house managed by family, we believe we offer the best possible service and assistance for guests to make their stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We offer more than just the keys to a beautiful house!

The Owner purchased this house in 2012

Why The Owner chose Palermo Hollywood

One of us grew up in Palermo and therefore know it very well. We chose Palermo Hollywood specifically because it is a thriving and safe residential neighborhood that is also home to many of the city's best restaurants and cafes. Because of this, it's an area that many guests would find themselves spending time in anyway, so it makes for a terrific base. From the local patisserie on the corner for fresh bread and pastries to fine dining, we are spoiled for choice. There are many great eateries located within 10 minutes walk from the house and we've compiled a list of the best and provide this to guests upon check-in. The house itself is located on a quaint, tree-lined cobblestone street and access to public transport is excellent with taxis abundant and the subway (Subte) located 5 minutes walk at the end of the street. Many guests deliberate between staying in Palermo Hollywood or neighboring Palermo Soho. We also chose Palermo Hollywood not only because we found this lovely house, but also because it's a very nice residential area that is quieter than its busier and noisier neighbor, the shopping and bars of Palermo Soho. Yet, it's only a 10-15 walk or very short taxi ride to get there.

What makes this house unique

First of all, being a HOUSE and not an apartment, it already stands out in a local market that is now saturated by new build characterless apartments that could have you staying anywhere in the world. We purchased this house because it is a stunning, unique and high quality property in a terrific location. Having searched high and low for over a year, we saw the full spectrum of properties on offer in Buenos Aires and this house stood out head and shoulders. It's been fully renovated and furnished to a high standard, which we've maintained and upgraded as necessary. We completed some renovations recently (Dec 2014), as well as replaced the king size mattress in the main bedroom and sofabed in the optional third bedroom/study. Our house offers guests a real Buenos Aires experience - an original 'Estilo Frances' (French style) house full of character and displaying the wow factor the moment you walk in the door. Soaring ceilings, beautiful woodwork and plasterwork, French doors and windows are blended with functionality and all modern conveniences. Two and half bathrooms, an optional third bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen and two outdoor spaces enable a comfortable and elegant sense of space for a group/family of up to 5 people. At the same time, the house is compact enough for a couple to enjoy a romantic getaway or two friends/family members seeking their own space. We also tend to the little things that make our guests' stays comfortable - Egyptian cotton sheets, local maps, guidebook, local mobile phone, fresh flowers and welcome bottle of local wine amongst other things. For guests seeking greater assistance or a more personalized experience of the city, we can also arrange a personal concierge who offers bespoke tours and experiences in and around Buenos Aires as a way to get the most out of the wonderful city of Buenos Aires.

Fantastic stay!! Top notch!

  • 5 of 5

Cannot say enough nice things about our stay in Buenos Aires at this lovely home. Major kudos to Alex for all his help and organization prior to our arrival and then to Nora for helping us during our stay. The house was a perfect fit for us from a size and location standpoint (3 adults, 2 kids). Nora was so helpful in getting us acquainted with the house and when we needed help -- like locking our money in the safe and not being able to open it! -- one phone call to her and 15 minutes later it was problem solved. Cannot recommend enough.

Wonderful house

  • 5 of 5

We stayed 17 days in the house in Febuary and could not been happier with the house and its location. Easy walk to subway and several good places to eat. UCO on Soler has excellent fish which is a good change of pace from the wonderful beef in BA.

The house is just like the pictures, which is not always the case. Everything has been updated and in wonderful condition.

The best thing about the house is Nora who manages the place. She was there to check us in and show us how everything worked, confirmed some dinner reservations, got excellent transportation to airport and was always just a phone call away if we needed anything. Nora made everything very easy for us and really added to the ease of the stay.

When we return to BA there is no other place where we would stay.

First time in South America

  • 5 of 5

My son and I were traveling from California to Buenos Aires for a golf tournament. We live in a small town and don't speak Spanish. I saw this house on this site and it looked like a good option for us, Alex was very responsive with emails and super informative so I knew we were off to a good start.

When we got there Nora was amazing, she was key in helping us to understand a bit about the culture, etc.. She was very kind and attentive and we appreciated her very much. The house was wonderful, the beds were very comfortable and having a kitchen was important to us as we prefer to cook breakfast. Location was good as we could walk in the evenings to dinner or shopping if we needed anything. We had a rental car as the golf course was a good 40 minute drive away and we never had a problem parking either right in front or very close to the house. The cell phone that was available for emergency was a comfort to have, thankfully we never needed it. I would highly recommend staying here. It's homey, its safe and it was a perfect spot for an adventure.

The Place To Stay in BA

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I and another couple stayed in “La Petite Maison” during the first week of April 2014. We found the house to be a terrific base for our first visit to Buenos Aires. It’s wonderfully comfortable, spacious, and stylish. We all enjoyed the chance to be part of a real neighborhood while having easy access to other parts of the city.

As non-Spanish speakers, we relied heavily on help and advice from Alex, the owner of the house, and his mother-in-law Nora, who manages the property on-site. Our experience of Buenos Aires wouldn’t have been nearly as easy or as memorable without them. Alex’s recommendations for neighborhood restaurants (which he has helpfully compiled into a guidebook) were great; we loved the local cafes/patisseries Nucha, Oui Oui, Darma, and especially Le Ble for breakfast, and we had amazing dinners at Il Gran Caruso, La Cabrera, Local, and Sudestada, all right around the corner. Nora couldn’t have been warmer or more charming and she was always ready to help by calling a taxi, solving a problem, or making a reservation for us.

We also appreciated Alex’s advice on tango shows and can highly recommend We Are Tango, which was one of his choices. We loved having the chance to get to know those delightful young people and to see their very elegant, intimate and professional show. We considered it the highlight of our trip.

When my husband left one of his shirts behind in the house, Alex and Nora explored the possibility of mailing it back to us from Buenos Aires but found that posting it from there was too complicated and expensive. So (over our protestations that he shouldn’t bother) he plans to pick it up when he and his wife visit in July, and mail it back from their home in Sydney, Australia. I can’t imagine any living arrangement as a tourist where you would receive a higher, more helpful or more personal level of service.

We highly recommend “La Petite Maison” to anyone who wants lovely accommodation in a convenient , relaxed part of town, where you have the opportunity to make new friends while enjoying all the great restaurants and cafes that the neighborhood has to offer. If we ever return to Buenos Aires, we will take advantage of Alex’s and Nora’s hospitality in a hearbeat.

Impression wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

We were feeling like real Buenos Aires citizens. We were looking for colonial historical house and found it! Despite breathing history and mood, all modern systems starting form air conditioning were perfect working despite unusual hot summer! Nora Vanoli (managing lady) was very friendly and helpful. and was very happy to "wait us from 4am morning to 9am morning due to flight delay" indeed. We enjoyed Argentinian restaurants nearby. we would like to recommend mentioned house for stay. Anita, Rasa, Remigijus Arunas from Lithuania (EU)

Loved my stay at La Petite Maison

  • 5 of 5

I spent a week at La Petite Maison in November and absolutely loved the place. It's set in a wonderful neighborhood that's a great jumping off spot for many wonderful adventures. The neighborhood is quiet for Buenos Aires. That doesn't necessarily mean you won't get dogs barking and construction noises (it's a thriving area that's up and coming) but compared to other areas in the city it's peaceful. There is a vital nighttime presence with many restaurants, etc to explore. I can't say enough about the owners, Laura and Alex, as well as Nora. They did everything possible to assure our stay was as peaceful and enjoyable as possible. I would definitely come back here and have recommended it to my friends!
