Cottage, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)

Located in historic Santa Monica District, 1 block to Main Street & wonderful Sunday Farmer’s market and only 3 blocks to the ocean, this charming 1894 Queen Anne Victorian 2 story 1Bdrm/1bath once held carriages for the oldest farm in the city. It is a unique “painted lady” with spacious upper & lower decks and much “gingerbread” styling surrounding a large eucalyptus tree connecting both decks. Gorgeous high beamed ceilings, with open feel in both downstairs living room & upstairs “loft like” bedroom, with hardwood floors throughout.

Layout: Downstairs open living room, kitchen, bathroom, with deck off of the living room. Upstairs loft-like bedroom w/ spacious closet & upstairs deck.

Furnishings: Complete furniture, housewares, fully equipped kitchen, W/D, wireless high speed, premium cable, permit parking & housekeeping available. King Bed in master bedroom; queen sleeper sofa on 1st floor.

My boyfriend and I found the 'Painted Lady' and booked it on short notice-- we had a lovely time! Right by the water and lots of food/cafes/shops, permit parking and the prettiest bedroom ever!
The managers were very sweet, and I spent a great birthday on the beach! If you want a casual and mellow getaway, this is the place.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway
