Built with beauty in mind, you will love this getaway. This house is the definition of relaxation. We built it ourselves and use it occasionally for our own family gatherings but all the time in between it is perfect for you and your family to escape to the country. Located on the Mississippi River you will surely experience wildlife and fantastic view of the river. There are tons of local events year round that can be accessed on the surrounding towns chambers of commerce (Aitkin,Crosby,Brainerd) websites. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could need to prepare your own meals or you may contact us for local catering suggestions. Sunsets and sunrises are fantastic. The balcony on the riverside is very comfortable and patio furniture is provided. There is a 30X30 great room with extra lighting for late night activities. This location has been used numerous times for groups that get together and enjoy crafts such as scrap booking and quilting. Additionally this is a perfect facility to bring your church groups.

Scrappers Gone Wild

We had a group of 17 ladies spend 5 AWESOME days!! There was plenty of room for all our supplies, equipment and pictures (which can be quite alot of stuff). The kitchen was very well equipped for all our needs. The view is awesome!! It is a quiet country setting but yet close enough to town if you need something. The owners are more than accomodating and were a joy to work with. We can't wait to go back next year!!

The best rental house we have been to. We have a group of girls that get together to scrapbook, make cards, knit, sew, make jewelry or just relax. Easy to get your crafts in and out of the craft room. Quiet to sleep while others are up still crafting. Large kitchen and deck for cooking, eatting and relaxing. This house is perfect for whatever you want to do. Plenty of room to get away from others, lots of sleeping space and bathrooms for your entire group. This was our fourth time back to this house and we will be back! Lori cares about each of her guests and will make sure you have everything you need. She is also the BEST massage therapist in the state! Thanks for another great year Lori!

Great Time Had By All

We had such a good time I almost dont want to write a good review hoping to keep this place to ourselves next year :) We booked the lodge for a fantasy football draft weekend and it was a hit success. WiFi held up fine with 13 guys logged in at once, the crafts room was turned into a draft war room and everyone had a bed and slept great. Some of my fishing buddies were sad that we didnt book on a lake, but that changed after they spent some time down by the river catching carp and northern on almost every cast. I really couldnt have ask for a better place and when we start planning for the next draft, this place will be our first call. All of my friends love to argue with me (what are best friends for) but noone had anything negative to say about the lodge! They loved it and cant wait until we do it again.

Great Group Retreat

We stayed in the fall for a long weekend Women's Retreat. The photos on the web page are just like the property, beautiful. Fantastic views of the Mississippi. We had a group of 17 women and the house was not crowded at all. Loved the beautiful wood work throughout. Kitchen was well stocked and comfortable. Lori was great to work with. We are considering renting it for a big holiday family retreat. I highly recomend!!
