With sweeping views of Torrey Pines State Beach, from both the master bedroom and family room balcony, you will be lulled to sleep by the sound of waves breaking a short walk across the street.
The townhome features new furnishings, *3* state-of-the-art flat screen HDTVs (1080p), updated kitchen with granite counter tops and redwood cabinetry, plantation shutters throughout, new dining set, computer with wireless Internet, new bedding/linens/towels, fresh beach and 'Tommy Bahama' decor, and for good measure, a 'Tiki' wet bar for your , entertaining pleasure! Plus, there is a fireplace in the family room for snuggling on those colder beach nights.
The master suite is huge - appx. 650 square feet with ocean views, a king size bed, lounge area with two chairs and table facing a 60' Samsung HDTV, and home office including 65' desk and owner provided computer with Internet access (hardwired and wireless). The guest rooms are themed with queen sized beds; one affectionately called the 'Jungle Room' for its primitive decor, the other the 'Hula Room' with tapa cloth artwork from Fiji and hand cast bronzed lamps from Hula Lamps Hawaii. One of the guest rooms includes a new 40' LCD Sony HDTV, both rooms include IHome clock radios that double as IPhone/ITouch chargers. Both guestrooms access an oversized patio including gas barbeque, new patio set and umbrella, and attractive potted landscaping.
Included in the town home are two rollaway twin beds for guests, great for 2 additional kids or adults. The private, attached 2-car garage eliminates street parking and accesses the bottom level which includes a laundry room and third bathroom. Included are all linens, beach towels, bath towels, shampoo, and hair dryers, as well as boogie boards, beach toys, and beach chairs.
Our vacation home overlooks the ocean and steps from downtown Del Mar with its charming restaurants, bars and boutiques, and a short 5 minute drive from the Del Mar racetrack. Sea Point is a low density complex featuring 2 pools, hot tubs, tennis courts, Play-well playground for the little ones, and 5 acre park including sand volleyball court.
Del Mar is the best beach town in San Diego! Our vacation home sits in the SEAPOINT community nearby Torrey Pines State Reserve and the beautiful ocean bluffs of Torrey Pines. From our home, we can walk to the fantastic restaurants and shoppings of downtown Del Mar, and in July/August, the in-season racetrack is a mere 5 minutes away. Add to the mix nearby SeaWorld, world-class golf, the famous San Diego Zoo, Birch Aquarium, Old Town Mexico, the Del Mar Fair, and countless other diversions, and you're sure to want to visit again year-after-year!

The Owner purchased this condo in 2007
First of all, this was our first time using the Vrbo website. We were a little nervous about using this form of travel but it turned out to be a wonderful experience. The condo was very clean and appeared exactly as presented in the pictures. The décor was lovely we did however have to hide a few items in the closet as our three young children may have enjoyed them a little too much. The community was very friendly and welcoming. Everyone that we encountered met us with a friendly smile and hello. It was a quick walk to the ocean and we also enjoyed the access to the pool and park. The owner was very accommodating and was always quick to reply to any questions or concerns we had during the booking process. San Diego was a great place to take our three young children. It was a quick drive to the zoo, sea world and Lego land. Would definitely recommend this property when making your choice for your next family vacation, was a trip that our kids still bring up on a regular basis and always ask to return to their house in San Diego!!
We rented this condo for one week with my family of 4 (two children under 5), my parents, and my brother and his fiance. We were very comfortable in the 3 bedroom place - the master suite is huge and a cot and packnplay were provided. Larger groups may even want to consider multiple rentals in this complex. We considered a few but went with this one for the 2 queen beds + 1 king and three bathrooms. We were pleased to find ocean views from both floors of the condo and depending on the breeze we could hear waves at night with the windows open. AC was excellent for the couple of steamy days we had. The pool was perfect for kids and not crowded. The condo kitchen was well furnished so we could cook when we wanted and there were several places to eat within walking and short driving distance (all day Happy Hour at Eda Mami sushi was great!). The beach was a short walk away - very do-able with a stroller and the condo owner even provides a wagon, toys, and boogie boards and there were plenty of towels. We had easy on and off the freeway access with limited traffic - a clear advantage over the La Jolla Shores neighborhood. There is a 2 car garage and parking pass provided - we never had trouble getting a spot. All in all I highly recommend this place - it was an excellent value, owners were prompt with email reply to questions, professional and very friendly. We expect to go back again in the future!
This was my family's third stay at this home, which is clean, spacious, warm, airy - everything a beach house should be. We truly feel like it is our home away from home when we are there.
I love the layout, with the master upstairs. The downstairs is great as a staging area for getting ready for the beach. Curt has all the toys you could want for the beach, umbrellas, chairs, sand toys, boogie boards, as well as other games and awesome noodles for the pool. The full kitchen has everything you need, which is great since we like to cook/grill in. The balcony with the ocean view is my favorite spot to enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine.
Each time we visit, we fully utilize the other amenities, such as the pool, Jacuzzi, tennis courts and grassy areas. There are several restaurants within walking distance, and we enjoyed Roberto's, Edamame, and the pizza place. Tried China Café last year, but must say the adults enjoyed more than the kids.
The owners are wonderful to work with, and always very responsive.
This is the second time I've rented this home in Del Mar and it was even better this time than the first! Wonderful layout and views of the nature reserve and ocean. I walked to the beach to go surfing every morning of my stay. Coming back again next year, can't wait!
Our family of four adults stayed at this property the week of Thanksgiving 2012. We were delighted with the accomodations! The property was well equipped, nothing was lacking. We found the location to be very convenient to the beach, walking trails, restaurants, grocery stores. We were very comfortable and especially enjoyed the ocean view from the master bedroom. The owner was responsive and easy to work with. We have family in the San Diego area and would stay here again in a heartbeat.
This was the second time I've stayed at this property and it was even better than the first! My family loved it too and wants to come back every year now. To get this much home at the beach for the price is really a treat.
