My family and I just came back from staying at Vantage Point 403 from 4/11 until 4/17. Let me just say that, first of all, the location is perfect. I was a little worried at first about the idea of walking back and forth to the gondolas with gear and two kids in tow, but it turned out that the walk wasn't bad at all, and actually quite pleasant. There is a locker available for guests on the ground floor of Vantage Point, which made it very convenient to store our gear at the end of the day. We did consider staying closer to the gondolas, but were glad that we decided against it since it would mean that we would hear a lot of music and foot traffic both day and night. As a side note, the Vantage Point building is not spectacular in and of itself. It's actually quite plain on the outside and initially the parking garage was hard to find. The lower floors seemed run down and only got a tad better once we got to the top floors. The hot tubs were closed down the entire week we were visiting, which didn't really matter to us but might be annoying to others. However, despite all this, looks indeed can be quite deceiving.
The condo itself is absolutely cozy! Having a keyless entry system meant that we didn't have to worry about keeping track of keys. We felt at home as soon as we entered through the doors. The beds were super soft and comfy and there was plenty of clean towels and linens for the whole family. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we would need for cooking. We like to cook all our meals during vacation due to our children's dietary restrictions, so this kitchen was well used and well loved. The views from the balcony were great. Each day we had a great view of the slopes and could clearly see what was running and when. And speaking about location, we were especially grateful to be at Vantage Point since it was only a 3 minute walk to the bus stop and a 3 minute bus ride to the Vail medical center. Unfortunately, our son was hurt doing some snowboarding tricks on the terrain park, which laid him up for a few days. The medical center was excellent, and my boy didn't mind laying about in the condo for a few days since he felt comfortable and secure. During our last few days at Vail, we were treated to a good old fashioned Colorado snowstorm that dumped several inches and gave us plenty of white powder to play in! All in all, we had a lovely vacation made even better by our comfortable "home away from home".
Great place! perfectly situated in Lionshead. Very comfortable condo, with everything you will need for a nice vacation. We will stay again!
This condo is perfectly situated in Lionshead. You are steps from stores, restaurants, the shuttle to Vail Village and the gondola. The photos online do not due the view justice. You have a quiet, peaceful deck with great views of the ski resort. The condo is clean and roomy with very comfortable beds and an updated kitchen. Would definitely stay here again. (Family of 5 with three teenagers-- had plenty of room for all of us.)
My family of 4 just returned from a week at this property and could not have been more pleased. The location and value were excellent, the property in good shape and all of Lions head and Vail Village was right outside our door. The views were very good (a construction project across the parking lot no big deal) and shopping, restaurants, and the Gondola were all very close. I would absolutely stay hear again for the cost and location.
We have a family of 5 with one young girl and two 20something boys. The condo was perfect for us. Plenty of beds for everyone! The washer and dryer are great to have. Not all units in this building have them... The place was clean and recently remodeled. We love Lionshead Village and can easily walk to everything there-restaurants, ice skating, gelato! Easy access to gondola and chair lifts. Vail Village is a very short shuttle ride away. We would stay here again.
We had a 4 day guys trip - slept with 4 guys in the bedroom with bunks, and 2 guys in the king bedroom. We ate our breakfast in, and one night in - the rest of the time ate on the mountain or in town. Unit has a breathtaking view of the ski slopes - all appliances work, building is neat and clean. Hot tubs (2) for after skiing, and close to Garfinkels, the Tavern, etc., for apres ski. Combination lock entry system was far superior to keys - heating, TV, gas logs and grill - thanks for a great experience!!!
