Fully equipped island house is just 500 feet from the beach! Bring your dog(s)! 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths, fabulous pool. Just bring your bathing suits, beach towels, and your toys!

Pet friendly home with its own private pool just off the beach! Walking distance to the ocean, just 500 ft. You'll love the large covered screen front porch and plenty of seating, large sunning deck with more seating, plus the pool deck and lounges!

Inside, there's the fully equipped kitchen and large dining room, comfortable living room for relaxing. Four bedrooms, two with queen beds, two with standard beds, plus a family room with extra beds (two trundle beds and a futon will sleep 5) provide tons of room. The large lower level rec room/family room has a large table and chairs for that late night card game or board game! 2 TVs and cable service, plus Wifi high speed internet!

Nearby marina, city park and playground, tennis, golf, and beach-front restaurants with their live music! There is something for everyone on the Isle of Palms, and this centrally located home puts you right in the middle of all you might want to do.

Worked Fine but Needs TLC

Our family had rented two houses on IOP. We had 9 people in this house and it worked for what we needed. The house needs a lot of TLC though. When we arrived we could barely walk up the stairs without being scratched by the palm trees. They definitely needed to be trimmed back. The sliding door for the back deck will barely open, and you need a lot of force behind it. The pool was dirty, we had to clean it ourselves. The other house our family had, had a problem with palmetto bugs. We only saw a couple at our home and were really grateful for that. The inside was relatively clean. The bathrooms were definitely outdated and just looked grimy. We did not want to shower in anything but the master shower, and even that seemed to have mold within the grout in some places. They definitely need a cleaning crew that pays more attention to detail. For what we are forced to pay for a cleaning fee, I expected better conditions. The kitchen was missing some key items; measuring cups, cookie sheets, more than 1 spatula, a big pan, etc. We bought a cheap set of measuring cups and left for the next guest. The worst part was the air conditioner. It did not work upstairs. It could not get below 78 upstairs. When we called the owner to get out problems addressed, they couldn't be reached. The husband was out of the country and the wife could care less. The gentlemen who books the properties for them got back to us quickly. He said he didn't normally do this, but he contacted a maintenance man, an air conditioner guy, and a landscaping company to address out problems. The air conditioner guy came, and he gave us a quick fix to help the house cool a little more, but he said both air conditioners needed to be replaced before the summer ended. The maintenance guy couldn't fix the sliding door, and said that would need to be replaced as well. The landscaping guys did a great job with trimming the palm trees and it was much easier to walk up the stairs. All in all, this was an okay rental. It definitely needs updating and some TLC. It needs owners who actually care about their properties. Beach homes need care and these owners didn't. I would not recommend this house to anyone, and I would never rent from these owners again. For the money you pay, you expect a rental that is kept up.

Owner's Response: The owners have now hired their booking agent to be their property manager.

The HVAC has been replaced with a new dual-zone unit that does an excellent job. The sliding door is scheduled to be replaced as soon as possible. Many more kitchen gadgets have been added, tho there were spatulas and measuring cups in another drawer.

I don't like mention in this review of another house's Palmetto bug problem. That's not really fair to this property's owners.

I have inspected the pool many times this season, it is always in beautiful shape. I should have received a call if there was a problem this one time.

We are working hard to make this an enjoyable vacation spot.

Almost great

The house was perfect, but we ran out of toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags and had to buy more the second day of our three day stay. The gas tank for the gas grill was empty and we had to but charcoal for the other grill. Otherwise, everything else was good.
