Beautiful views from this cozy lakefront home. Its gently sloping yard to the water makes it kid friendly. Private dock and fire pit are also available. A queen bed is located in the main bedroom. A bunkbed and twin bed are located in the second bedroom. A queen pull out couch in the sunroom for additional guests. Stay for the weekend or longer in a location that is close enough to everything but feels a million miles away.

I met my future husband at Cedar Lake on Labor Day 1967 and we decided to visit that location again this year. It was worth the trip from Virginia. My husband was concerned that it may be a camp or rustic cottage before we got there, however, it is a truly comfortable house and it was PERFECT. The lake house has all the modern features and conveniences. Full size kitchen appliances including dishwasher and even a full size washer / dryer right off the kitchen. We had the luxury of a flat screen TV with Dish hookup and internet. I was able to enjoy the early morning sunrise from the enclosed sun porch while winning a bid on eBay. Things have really changed since 1967! Great parking, too. Private parking and enough for 4 cars in front of the garage, so guests were not having to park far away when they visited us on the holiday. And, oh yes, the owners are absolutely terrific and great to communicate with if you have any questions. We now have another beautiful New Memory of Cedar Lake. Thanks Helene!
This charming lake house is situated on a private lake. The owner is extremely accommodating very pleasant and easy to work with. She has great space, lovely property and all the amenities one needs with the exception of an iron which you will need to bring.
We hope to continue a wonderful relationship. Helene is wonderful
My husband and I were planning a trip to Bristol, CT to visit family when I came upon this perfect cottage. The cottage was very clean, the location is ideal, there is a private drive for parking, the lake view is awesome, the sun porch was inviting, the queen size bed was very comfortable, and the owners allowed us to bring our well behaved golden retriever. My husband enjoyed cooking on the gas grill on the large deck, our dog liked swimming in the lake, and I loved curling up with my kindle on the sun porch. We would have fished, but, the weather was a still a little cool. The cottage had wireless internet and cable TV with tons of channels available. Having a washer, dryer, and dishwasher in the home was an added convenience. The description and pictures of the cottage were exactly as noted on VRBO. The owners responded to all my questions immediately and my deposit was return within a week of our stay. I would highly recommend this property to anyone traveling to CT. I will be planning my trips to CT to visit my family around the availability of this property!
We spent a very relaxing one week vacation here at the beginning of March...perfect end-of-winter getaway. House is very nicely appointed and very well kept. We had one full day of snow during our stay which added a further magical quality to the still-frozen lake. By the way, don't be fooled by the Bristol address...Bristol's actually a pretty large city but you'd NEVER know it from this secluded, quiet location near the top of the mountain. Stock the full kitchen with your favorites and you can stay in for the duration (and pretend you're at a lakeside cabin one thousand miles away from Connecticut), or take a 15 to 20 minute drive and you'll be in the middle of everything...lots of places for entertainment, shopping and dining (although there seem to be a abnormally large number of restaurants specializing in Italian quisine!). If our trip was this enjoyable on the frozen tundra, imagine how great yours will be at other times of the year! Finally, our sincere thanks to Helene and family for being gracious hosts.
Again we enjoyed the lake house on Cedar Lake. The weather was great and the children enjoyed
the water morning and afternoon and marshmallow roasts at night. There are things to do in the area just to get them out of the sun for a bit. Hope to be there again next year.
