Mauna Lani is the premier resort along the Kohala Coast. If you are looking for exclusive, peaceful and romantic this is the place for you! Restaurants, shopping, health club, spa and island activities are minutes away. The Golf Villas a small gated community is located within this spectacular resort. There are 2 Championship golf courses.

A2 Golf Villas: The minute you turn into Mauna Lani it feels special. Continue driving through the lava rock and then the security house and realize it's more than special it's exclusive! You reach the gates of the Golf Villas and know this is one beautiful place. I am the owner and get that 'Ahhh..' feeling every time. My unit is on the ground floor. It is not the biggest in the Golf Villas but perfect for 1 or 2 couples. It looks out onto the 3rd hole of the South Course and Mauna Kea Mountain is in the background. Sitting on the lanai for the morning sunrise or afternoon sunsets it's another 'Ahhh..' moment!

Personal and Comfortable: As the owner, I am biased (and proud) but my Hawaiian home is decorated with style and comfort. It will not have that 'decorator' feel but rather like a warm and friendly place. I had a professional painter come in and work her magic in almost every room. Some of the furniture was custom made as well as the window coverings. My cousin in Phoenix painted a special piece specifically for the dining room area. The beds are pillow top and very comfortable. Bathrooms are well appointed. The kitchen as everything you need for a home cooked meal. But of course there are many wonderful restaurants within a short distance.

Much to do or nothing to do: Hawaii offers something for everyone. If you want to just sit on the beach and read a book ...done. My personal favorite is just down the road at The Beach Club. It is a quiet little cove with great snorkeling, restaurant and bathrooms. Or for the real feel of a Hawaiian beach go to Hapuna or Mauna Kea which is only 15 minutes away. Take a drive to Hawi, Waimea or Kailua-Kona only 25-30 minutes away. Great little towns with shops and restaurants. If you are a diver than going on a night dive with the manta rays is suppose to be thrilling ( I am not a diver!). Or simply stay at Mauna Lani and explore the resort with the 2 bicycles in the garage. Your Hawaiian vacation can be whatever you want it to be.

Jamie’s home in the Golf villas is superb. This is not some high turnover profit seeking rental, it is a very well kept beautiful vacation home. In fact it is not really a rental at all, it is a home. We have stayed in lots of rentals so I could tell the difference from the moment we walked in the door, everything from the large cable TV to the under the counter wine fridge; this home really is the full package. It is perfect for our family of four, plenty of space and a great layout all on one floor. We liked that our children could play around outside on the grass while I cooked up a steak or two. We hope to stay here for all our Big Island trips. I strongly recommend this home to anyone seeking a relaxed stay in a high end quality home. We stayed for about a month early summer 2012 and loved it. Jamie was great to deal with and was super-fast to return our deposit after we left.
