This is a two bedroom cabin that is great for 2-4 people. One bed is located in the loft and the other is a queen bed in a bedroom with TV. The kitchen has all the utensils you will need for cooking. The living room has cable TV with WiFi and a sofa bed, if needed.There is a garage for one car.

It is located at the end of a cul de sac with woods surrounding the area.

About Bob Dunn

We, Ann and Bob, are two retired educators who like the outdoors as well as travel. We currently reside in Manchester, MI. Bob likes to fish and bike. We both like to cross country ski This cabin fit all our needs. Since we will not be using it at various times we thought we would continue to rent it as the previous owners did.

Ann is a graduate of Mercy College and Bob graduated from MSU. We have traveled to Europe several times, South Africa in 2011, up the Rio Negro in 2010, and have several other trips planned. Our son lives in Kingston, NY and our daughter resides in N.C. at Chapel Hill. So we have to travel to see them too.

Why Bob Dunn chose Crystal Mountain, Thompsonville

Bob learned about the area by fishing out of Arcadia for salmon and steelhead. Being that we like to cross country ski we found Crystal Mt. area to accommodate our needs to be outside in the winter. So this is place we can go year around and enjoy our retirement.

What makes this chalet unique

After using a trailer for 5 years, we just decided it was time to buy a place that would meet our needs year around. We looked at many places and found one that was perfect for us. We did not need a big place, but wanted some place that was close to Lake Michigan to fish, available to be on the water in other locations, and ski in the winter. As people who know the Fall is spectacular! To ride your bike in remote areas, up and down M 22, and just be outside at this time is wonderful.

Nearest Airport : Traverse City at 30 Miles
Nearest Ferry : Manistee at 35 Miles
Nearest Motorway : 115/31 at 1.5 Miles
Nearest Beach : Arcadia, Frankfort at 10 Miles
Nearest Barpub : Crystal Mt at 1.5 Miles
Nearest Ski : Crystal Mt. at 2 Miles
Nearest Golf : Crystal Mt. There are several others in the area. at 2 Miles
Nearest Restaurant : Crystal Mt at 2 Miles
Car: necessary

The rental is within a 40 minute drive to Traverse City. There are several other golf courses besides Crystal Mt. in the area. The biking can vary from easy to M 22. Those that are in training for triathlons or trips have used M22 for training. Access to Lake Michigan for fishing is within a half hour drive. The town of Arcadia has a marina and great information on salmon fishing. Kayak/Canoeing on the Betsie river is within a 1/2 mile.
