Though I have done my share of traveling, nothing excites me more than my trips to Northern Michigan. I have been taking them for 33 years now and will continue until the day that I die. I live in downtown Detroit and am truly grateful that 'heaven on earth' is just a 4 hour ride away!

Be it in the freshness of a sunny, spring morn, the streams flowing strong with recently melted snow, or drowning some worms on a hot summer day, or the 'tunnel of trees' ride on a fall afternoon, or rippin' down the 'Chute' at Nubs Nob on a cold, wintery day, nothing charges my batteries like those weekend trips 'Up North'. A bit of sadness hits when it is time to leave. I always say (out loud) 'Good-bye condo' when I close the door before heading back to the real world. And on the ride home, I am planning my next weekend return.

It would be tough to explain why I love it so much. I am just thankful for the incredible joy that this area has given me.

Our Michigan! It doesn't get any better! Welcome...I hope that you enjoy your stay and are compelled to return.
