Enjoy your vacation getaway in the quiet gated community of Spinnaker Point. It features an outdoor swimming pool with hot tub and two tennis courts.

The 2-bedroom, 2-bath condo sleeps 6. It is set in a safe gated community with private streets that offer pleasant walking areas and bike-riding. Kids have plenty of outside space to play.

The condo is at the northernmost habitable point on Pleasure Island and is surrounded by marshland and the ICW.

The guarded beach at the end of the boardwalk has plenty of room to roam and the swimming is refreshing. The Carolina Beach Fishing Pier is right there, offering a place to fish or just enjoy some ice cream and a leisurely stroll.

The drive-on beach at Freeman Park is nearby.

The condo's balcony offers small view of the ICW and of the ocean in the distance. Beach is about a quarter-mile away and includes pleasant, interesting walk across a boardwalk over the peaceful marshland.

Condo includes 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, a living area and kitchen. Amenities include 2 TVs with cable, one DVD and VHS player, microwave, coffee maker, blender, washer/dryer.

Carolina Beach has family friendly events scheduled throughout the spring and summer, including weekly free music and fireworks at the boardwalk. Carolina Beach State Park is nearby and the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher is just 15 minutes away.

Shopping and dining are nearby, or you can just relax and enjoy the quiet.

Historic Wilmington offers riverfront shopping and dining along with the Cape Fear Museum, the Children's Museum and the Cape Fear Serpentarium, among numerous other attractions.

About The Owner

We live in Durham but can't get enough of the beach! We love having a safe, enjoyable place for our kids to call their home away from home.

The Owner purchased this condo in 2009
What makes this condo unique

We love this location because there's lots of elbow room -- the buildings aren't right on top of each other. The kids can play outside, swim at the beach or in the pool, or just hang out.

It's a quiet location with many year-round residents, so it's stable and friendly.

We love the beach, the fishing pier and the boardwalk in Carolina Beach. We also love visiting the aquarium and riding the ferry over to Southport.

We hike at Carolina Beach State Park and find tons of stuff to do in Wilmington -- including going on ghost walks and learning about the history of the city.

What a great vacation place!! I would recommend this location to everyone! We have stayed at vrbo properties in the past, but this one was the best! The location is excellent and you will find everything you need at the condo. Spinnaker Point is beautiful, spacious,and quiet. Judy is great to work with and helpful in answering questions. We loved the beach, pool, aquarium at Fort Fisher, and ferry ride to Southport.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
