DuPont Circle is a vibrant neighborhood and great location from which to experience Washington, DC. You are just 2 blocks from the Red Line Metro stop, and can walk to historic Georgetown, George Washington University, The World Bank, and IMF, Embassy Row, think tanks, and museums, among others points of interest. The neighborhood is filled with wonderful restaurants, shops, cafes and grassy parks. On Sundays, the DuPont Circle Farmers Market is one of the largest in the city.
The DuPont Circle Metro Station is just 2 blocks away, and bus lines are also convenient (Metrobuses and the DC Circulator). You won't need a car with the great access to public transit from this location!
If you do want to drive (whether for an hour's grocery store run, or a trip outside the city to Monticello or Gettysburg), consider registering online for Car2Go or Zipcar--flexible alternatives to traditional rental cars.

Stephanie – “It was fantastic to have this "home" for a week while we were in the capital on vacation. Easy walk to restaurants, Trader Joe's (!) and the Red Line Metro at DuPont Circle. We easily picked up a cab on 22nd when we needed one. The condo was clean and very easy to get to. It is located on quiet street and since it is in the middle of the embassy district, it's probably in one of the safest and most interesting neighborhoods in DC! Having the washer/dryer right outside the door was handy and we did do a load of our clothes. It's always nice to be able to pack light and wash out the miles of walking we did every day through museums and monuments. We really enjoyed this apartment much better than a hotel since there weren't people up and down the hall at all hours and knowing that no one would be coming into our room every day when we weren't there.”--March 2013

Our latest addition are vacation properties for Washingtonians. Take a few days away from the bustle of the city to explore our bucolic countryside little changed over the past 2 to 3 centuries. Visit wineries and orchards, significant Civil War battlefields and historic towns, hike the Apalachian Trail or follow in the footsteps of our founding fathers by visiting their homes. There is plenty to do that beckons you to leave the city for a weekend or a week.
A bit about me...I am a former Californian who, after 12 years in DC, is now an honorary Washington native. Being well traveled both domestically and internationally has given me a great appreciation for the enrichment contact with others brings to our experience. I am well-versed on the 'must-see' sights, monuments and museums of our culturally rich city, along with the unique experiences your find only in Washington. We share that insight with our guests in our property Welcome Guides which we send upon confirmation.
We very much enjoy hosting visitors to our Nation's Capital and ensuring that they are able to make the most of their visit.
