A. DESCRIPTION:

*We have on-site parking available at this property for a fee of $10 per night (subject to availability). Guests are required to indicate if they will need on-site parking before they make a reservation.

The Palisades Plush is a delightful ground floor private 1 bedroom apartment in the heart of The Palisades Village neighborhood of Washington, DC. This apartment was recently gutted and renovated so everything is new. It has a queen bed in the bedroom and a modern sofa that folds flat to a second double bed. The studio can accommodate up to 4 guests.

Unique amenities include full kitchen with dishwasher, newly renovated striking bath with oversized shower, new front loading washer and dryer in your unit. There is a sitting area with sofa and easy chair with ottoman facing a wall mounted flat screen HDTV. In the open area you will find a large dining table for 4 with new white leather chairs. You have a private off street parking just steps away from your entrance and outdoor seating on the in the front of the building on the shared porch and patio where you can relax after a day of sightseeing.

John – “The Palisades area which is just west of Georgetown is a charming, safe and quaint neighborhood. The unit Palisades Plush was truly as it was advertised. The unit was immaculate. The facilities, including the kitchen & laundry were impeccable. The queen sized bed was very comfortable. The list of 'House Rules' which was emailed to us contained many valuable suggestions for sights and just getting around Washington DC. I will admit taking the taxi the first day from Union Station was a bit daunting as we left Washington DC. John & I were determined to use public transportation during our visit. As it turns out the D6 bus stop which is located across the street from the unit will get you to and from all of the Washington Mall!' May2013

Really worked well for our needs!

Why not 5 stars?? I guess nothing is perfect, but we found very little fault with this apartment. Lets start at the beginning. It was a 30.00 cab ride from DCA. Exactly what we expected (our host gave us an estimate) but considering we didn't rent a car the 4 days were there it was a bargain. It took about 25 minutes. We arrived late but keys were waiting for us. The 1st thing that struck us was it was a beautiful neighborhood! It is tree lined and it felt like our neighborhood back home. The last time my wife and I were in DC we stayed at the Hilton-Garden Inn about 3-4 blocks from the White House (our room overlooked the nasty roof) which was a great location for walking but we saved over 100.00/day and it only took about 25 minutes on the Metro Bus (the bus stop is across the street) from the apt to arrive at the Mall. I cost under 2.00 to take the bus and we would take a cab home in the evening (cost about 15.00 from the mall). 1st impressions: It is a partial basement apt but it had a lot of natural light so it didn't feel like a basement. It did have a kind of stale smell when we first got there but we opened up the windows and turned on the fan an it wasn't a issue the rest of our trip (maybe hadn't been rented in a few days so it was closed up and smelled a little musty). The apartment was very clean. The area rugs were a little worn but everything else seemed in good working condition. The bathroom was updated and the shower was not creepy. It was spacious and it didn't feel like the shower curtain was going to attach itself to you at any minute. I hate that! I am also 6'4 and didn't have to bend down to take a shower. I love that! Good water pressure and lots of hot water!! The bedroom was a little tight (not much room on either side of the bed) but it was comfortable and quiet. The management company left us detailed info on using the Metro Bus and Rail and lots of great info regarding the immediate neighborhood (restaurants, walking trails, etc.) and the also things to see and do in the city. I would skip the Chinese take out restaurant down the street but the Belgium restaurant on the corner was awesome! We had the mussels and fries with some delicious beer. The day before we left, we were notified the pipe from the street needed to be repaired but it really wasn't an issue because we still had hot water for the remainder of our stay. Overall, you can't beat this apartment for the price.

Pleasant stay at Palisades Plush

Exactly what we were looking for - it had everything we needed for our short stay (most importantly laundry facilities and full kitchen with dishes and cookware). The pictures provided on the website accurately display what you can expect of the apartment. Gaining access to the place and checking out was made very easy. Kevin was extremely helpful during the booking phase and went above and beyond anything I would have expected. Overall, a very positive experience. Highly recommended.
