New and affordable, upscale condo close to everything Grand Haven has to offer. Two to three blocks from downtown, boardwalk, and waterfront but does not include waterfront pricing. This 2006 condo provides all the comforts of home, is beautifully decorated on all three floors and clean. The appliances are stainless/modern and everything works. Although it lists only 2 bedrooms (Master middle level with full bath, and TV) and another BR (upper level full bath and TV), the top floor has a huge loft with a queen pullout and 2 single pullouts, full bath and large screen TV. The lower level has a pullout queen, wet bar, large screen TV and a full bath. WiFi and Cable provided. There is an additional half bath plus new laundry appliances just off the kitchen for your convenience. The kitchen and living room are open concept with seating available at the bar and dining table. There is also a gas fireplace and deck. The condo comes with many amenities. We provide linens, pillows, beach towels, soap and shampoo, laundry detergent, paper products, coffee, tea, and basic kitchen spices. There is an attached garage which includes 2 new ELECTRIC BICYCLES and 2 new beach bikes as well as a gas grill. We have a two car limit on site.

About Mike Whalen
We (Mike and Judy Whalen) have been married for 15 yrs. Mike is 57 and retired in May of 2011 after 34 yrs with the Dept. of Corrections as a Health Unit Manager. Mike grew up in Muskegon and they currently live in Spring Lake. The 'Jackson Place' was just purchased in December 2012. We think we have found a perfect gem for guests looking for real value during their stay in such a wonderful tourist destination. Economical shoppers (particularly experienced return Grand Haven travelers) with no desire to compromise elegant lodging will notice the value. It has everything one would need and expect without the waterfront price. The location provides convenient access to everything that Coast Guard City has to offer. Grand Haven commands really high rental rates for many good reasons. We are sensitive to these prices and make every effort to provide our guests with many comforts and extra amenities. Our goal is to develop long term relationships with our guests. We want them to enjoy carefree vacations at the Jackson Place so much that they will want to return year after year.

Why Mike Whalen chose Grand Haven
A lot of Grand Haven summer travelers pay a lot of money to rent old fixer upper 1900 vintage homes downtown or on the waterfront.We know- we have one and it's the oldest house on the channel - see property #3006306) 'Whalens Channel House' at 834 s Harbor drive. We have put our hearts and soles ino making that old home very comfortable -- and it really is lovely. The truth is that 'many' of the older rental home homes have poor layouts ,with poor uses of space, often do not provide enough bathrooms, have sub par air conditioning and electrical systems to accomodate their guests. We looked for some time to find the perfect property to give our guests a great value for their money. Travelers don't have to compromise modern lodging that they have come to expect for an old upgraded turn of he century home. The Jackson place has a great location without the waterfront rates and built in 2006.
What makes this condo unique
It is spacious, warm and comes completely furnished. The living space is well designed and the architecture is pleasing to the eye. This provides open and functional living areas/spaces for a variety of social gatherings. One can curl up with a book in front of the fireplace, entertain a larger group in the loft area or relax in the recreation room with the wet bar. An important feature is that everything works like it is supposed to. No one will ever be late getting ready because they have to share bathrooms! This condo has three full and one half baths, a washer and dryer and iron and ironing board. This 1911 sq ft. 3 story condo is ideally located, modern and beautifully decorated.
