Welcome to the Log Cabin at the lake. Serenity and privacy is all yours. Only a ten minute picturesque drive from beautiful Palmer located in the Matanuska Valley. This is a new and contemporary log cabin that sits on it's own private 1.25 acres in a small lake community with all the modern amenities of home including high speed internet, telephone, Cable TV, radiant in-floor heating and of course a wood stove for those cozy nights in front of the fire. Be one of the first to stay and enjoy the zen relaxation of this home. There is a loft bedroom with his and hers closets and a beautiful view, queen bed, dresser and nightstands. Downstairs in the great room, a fold out queen Futon sleeps two. The kitchen is modern and well equipped with a large french door refrigerator, dishwasher, full size stove, built-in microwave, toaster, coffee maker. Kitchen has all utensils and cookware. The dining area is spacious and comfortable, seats 6 and affords patio door access to the large open Grilling Deck with the BBQ Grill for enjoying the Alaska outdoors. There is a full length covered porch at the front of the cabin for relaxing and watching the occasional Moose. The bathroom is large and modern with full size bath and shower. The cabin also has a modern washer and dryer with laundry items supplied.

If fishing is your passion, you are only a five minute stroll to the lake. There are two golf courses located just fifteen minutes drive away. Groceries, gas, restaurants and bars are also only a short ten minute drive to Palmer. Wasilla is just twenty minutes by car and has all major shopping available. The famous Iditarod sled dog race begins in Wasilla every year. Just outside Palmer are Musk Ox and Reindeer Farms and Tours. Hatcher Pass is also close by and affords some great skiing in winter and hiking in summer. Both Anchorage city center and the Anchorage International Airport are an easy one and a quarter hours drive away.

This place is beautiful

We loved our stay in this amazing cabin so much that we are planning to return again next year. This was our first visit to Alaska and also our first ever stay in a real log home. The photos don't do it justice, it is even better in person. Everything was perfect. The kitchen is modern and easy to use we felt at home immediately. We were really happy to see the little extras like a great little spice rack and the decorative soaps etc in the bathroom. There was even laundry supplies. I can't tell you how peaceful it was, we slept like babies every night ! It is nice and close to every amenity you could ever want. The area is really picturesque and we loved that it wasn't a "touristy" area so we really got to live in the true Alaska. We're just happy that we chose this place to stay in and honestly cannot wait to get back !

Very enjoyable Log Cabin retreat.

This was the first time we had ever stayed in a log cabin and we just loved it. All of the appliances were new and the cabin was so clean. There was cable TV and high speed internet and the kitchen was wonderful. We were very happy to see the collection of spices there for our use because we really enjoy cooking our own meals. My husband was happily grilling outside while I made the sidedishes. Loved the large counter.
We enjoyed the area with it's spuce trees and the granite mountains. So don't forget your camera, we took some awesome shots. We also liked being close to a lake but only a few minutes from anything we needed. I think the high lights of our visit were coming back to a cozy cabin and cooking up a nice dinner by the wood burning stove after a day of sightseeing. We then could play games or watch a movie. The bed was really comfortable and we were happy to see the block out curtains so we could sleep in as long as we wanted too. Our vacation was just lovely and we left well rested. We are looking forward to scheduling another visit here and the price was right. We give it a 10.
