we had a lovely break from a busy holiday schedule at le petit jonquay
it was just perfect and a gorgeous spot from which to explore the local countryside .
it is well out of the way of the busy tourist trail but near enough to enjoy it if you want to.
the farm house was beautifully decorated, clean, well serviced, and i would not hesitate to recommend it.
We stayed for a week in March at the Farmhouse at Chateau Jonquay. The owner was very pleasant and professional in making the arrangements.
The house is not really far from the highway, but because it is located on a very small road and surrounded by fields, it feels wonderfully remote and peaceful.
The restoration was done with a very authentic feel. The brick and wood plank flooring are just beautiful! If you truly appreciate historical old homes, you will be glad you stayed here. Don't forget to take a peek at the birds nesting in the eaves...there is an ingenious little mirror rigged up so you can see the nest, and there were birds nesting while we were there. I would definitely recommend this location and would stay there again if we are vacationing in the area!
