Our 2-story home is situated at the mouth of the Columbia River, with historic Astoria to the east and Ft Stevens State Park just to the west. This is our family's frequent escape, well suited to maximize comfort, relaxation, and rejuvenation while having easy access to the scenic beauties of the North Coast, truly Pacific Wonderland!
The cathedral ceiling living room has full views of the Columbia River estuary which spans four miles across to Washington's Long Beach Peninsula. The Columbia River's narrow shipping channel is situated immediately in front of the house offering an ongoing parade of maritime traffic; enjoyable from the front yard Adirondack chairs, or from the cozy comfort of our living room sofa.
A 2-story living room opens up to kitchen and dining areas with panoramic views of the Columbia River. A 65-inch LED SmartTV sits above a gas fireplace and flanks the large living room window. Entertainment options include Home Theater with HD satellite TV including premium channels, Wi-Fi internet , Sony Blu-ray DVD with Netflix, and AirPlay to wirelessly stream your music.
A well stocked kitchen with state-of-the-art appliances and cooking implements, makes staying in and cooking a pleasure. A powder room is conveniently situated off the main living room area.
Upstairs are three tastefully decorated bedrooms each with a comfortable queen bed and TV. Master bedroom en suite has a walk in closet, comfortable lounge chair and commanding views. In addition to the three bedrooms, there is a double fold-out bed with memory foam in the living rooms sectional sofa.
The home is stocked with some of our favorite books, cookbooks, and movies; feel free to enjoy while relaxing, or planning day trips up and down the coast.

Ron and Shannon Walk purchased this house in 2005
The family and I really enjoyed staying at your place in Hammond. We found things to be well kept, in good condition, and in proper order. I really enjoyed the location as it is only three miles from Warrenton Marina and very near where we like to fish. Fishing was excellent, again this year. We hope to reserve for a longer stay for next year. Thanks for running a first class operation.
My family and I stayed in this lovely vacation home for a couple nights over our Spring Break. We could have easily stayed more if we had more time. It was a great vacation home for our needs. Very spacious, comfortable and close to all the activities we wanted to experience during our time on the Northern Oregon Coast. 15 minutes from Astoria and 20 or so from Seaside. Ron was a great homeowner to work with and made sure we were taken care of. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
We rent lots of houses all over Oregon and this house was one of the best equipped houses we have ever stayed at. It was quiet and the view of the river is different and it is fun to watch the huge ships go by. It was very comfortable, the beds were great, and we had a blast in Astoria.
What a lovely home with every last detail considered. We visited last week with our two doggies, and enjoyed every minute. From the walks on the beach to the river right out the front door, we took in the sights between great eatings at Bouy9 in town (get the fish and chips and crab appetizer) and down the road in Astoria. Ron was a consummate host, and even let us check in a little early. You will not be disappointed with a stay at this wonderfully homey home.
My family and I stayed at this Pacific Wonderland and it was just perfect! The location was excellent and the view was great! There was plenty of room for three couples and the beds were very comfortable. The house was wonderfully appointed and had everything we needed. It was like staying at a friend's house it was so welcoming. The family pictures were so great and really made it feel homey. Could not have been happier with our visit - thank you!
An extremely well equipped kitchen. Very clean and well supplied. The electronics were amazing, and the view was extraordinary. A bonus seeing 6 elk on a walk.
Ideally located property, with unobstructed views of the Columbia river. The owners have very tastefully decorated, with beach and historical elements, without going overboard. This was the most comfortable and well furnished VRBO we have stayed in yet. The Adirondack chairs in the front yard were our havens in the evening (we were lucky enough to have fantastic weather). Normally we bring our own cookware to VRBOs since most rentals are stocked with the owners cast offs, but this home seemed to have been decorated and furnished for the owners comfort. Everything you are likely to need will be there.
Our family vacation home is situated on the Columbia River Estuary where river meets ocean. Astoria is a few miles east and Ft Stevens State Park is a few miles west, with great access to beaches, trails, hiking, etc.
