This house is a classic with a lovely old French-style exterior onto the street, but then you enter into the surprise of a really modern villa on 3 floors one of the best period conversions n the city! The interior is complemented with an unbelievable roof terrace with private pool for relaxing and 2 floors for living in spacious comfort. The elegant and light filled accommodation is for 4 people in 2 double bedrooms - with one of the bedrooms having the possibility of splitting the king-sized bed into 2 twins.
The antique wood door from the street opens into the communal entrance way and leads along a passage to the entrance to the house. As you pass into the foyer of the house you are looking onto the central atrium - a courtyard open to the sky with an abundance of plants and with a French cafe table and chairs in the shaded patio – a welcome haven of cool and quiet in the height of summer. The spacious, equal sized bedrooms are on the ground floor and have tiled bathrooms, TVs, large walk-in closets and with glass walls onto the atrium with floor to ceiling blinds.
Between the 2 bedrooms is the office area with a large counter for computers with WiFi connections and 2 chairs for catching up with news at home, or planning the day from the local BA entertainment sites. Up the contemporary staircase to the second floor and past a colorful mural of life in Argentina – one of several very interesting pieces of art in the house , including some lovely ceramic pieces – and into an open spacious living area. The comfortable, relaxing sitting area has a sofa and chairs, a wall unit with cable TV which provides Argentine and International channels: CNN, Bloomberg, HBO, BBC.
At the other end of the house is the Kitchen and dining area – a marvelous space which is state of the art – with stainless appliances, a cook top on an island which also serves the dining area, a glass topped dining table with seating for 6 and looking onto the atrium, the light and views of the sky. Another staircase – outside this time – leads from the living area to the spectacular roof terrace – a place where you can spend all day! It offers total privacy, and the lap-pool can be used for those energetic mornings, or for a cool dip at the end of a day’s sightseeing. There is a table to enjoy a meal – with a sink and counter top to enable you to prepare and set up that fabulous local food , loungers to rest and read and enjoy the sun or shade, and an outside shower. The whole space makes you feel you are at your own 5-star resort!
On the living level there is also a laundry closet, and a half bath easily accessible from the roof.
