Dear Michele and Charles,
We had a great time. The beach life is the best vacation. Your house was clean and comfortable. The yard was awesome! I would like to come back in June and July for 4 weeks next year. Everyone thought it was a wonderful house. Thank you! Maureen
We've been coming to Narragansett for 13 years and always stay in the 'pier area' because we like the relaxed feel and type of people that come here. This house is the best we've ever rented. You've provided everything! The kitchen is well-equipped, the bedrooms large and bright with plenty of closet space and comfortable beds, a great laundry room with a door and extra shower, a nicely laid out dining/living area so we could all have our own space and a beautiful deck and large fenced back yard. The outside shower was very popular and we liked the desk area in the front foyer to 'work from home'.Yes,we were able to keep in touch with our offices and still enjoy being at the beach with our family! The front porch was cool and breezy for morning coffee or in the evening after the beach with a drink and a private place to sit and chat and watch a summer rain storm pass through. We took some fabulous family photos on the front porch with the blooming hydrangeas! We had various family members join us at different intervals throughout the 2 weeks and the house and yard was perfect for gathering young and old. We played wiffle ball and set up a badminton/volley ball net and enjoyed some good competition. The teens in our family enjoyed having a place to lounge and watch tv without bothering the adults. Everything we needed was furnished by you! We anticipated needing a lot more, and brought it with us, but kept it packed away because you furnished EVERYTHING.
What a clean,comfortable house-with a perfect back yard!
The street is quiet and little traffic, yet close to shopping and the beach. We enjoyed walking to the beach, the seawall and towers and around the pier area. Easy walking from this house!
Great yard and walking for the dogs, too! Nice to be able to let them run in the yard without worrying about them.
We brought our kayaks and enjoyed using them on the Narrow River. The guys fished from the rocks at Cronin & Black Point we got take out from Aunt Carries and sat overlooking the water by the Pt Judith Coast guard lighthouse, enjoying chowder, fried whole belly clams and lobster rolls. We bought crabs and oysters in Galilee for appetizers for one of our cookout nights. Mostly though, our family enjoyed being together in your wonderful house. Thank you for a memorable vacation. We hope we can return next year!
The property was accurately described in the listing. Very clean and well taken care of. The new shower was extremely helpful for us since we had 10 people the last two nights. The kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed both the porch and the deck spaces. We were there for our daughter's wedding at the Towers. The foyer space was great for getting ready. The beautiful and very well cared for backyard ended up being perfect for our family photos! We loved the location and walked to town at least once a day. The fireworks on the 4 th were fabulous ( we were at Spain that night) and the wedding at the Towers was beyond our expectations. Having a great place to stay made it even better. I only wish we could ave stayed another week.
This was our 3rd year back to Narragansett and as usual we really enjoyed our stay and could not ask for more in a home rental! Its so nice to have a relaxing home and super yard to come back to after the beach or fishing and with everything so close (restaurants, fishing, parks) it was great. And we can't stress enough our appreciation that our dogs are welcomed too and have such a big fenced in yard to enjoy
We loved this house. It was a family vaca with lots of folks coming and going but when we were all present, there were 8 of us including a two year old plus our dog. The house is laid out great and worked for our family. The location is perfect with a 10 minute walk to the town beach, restaurants, sights, etc. it was the perfect place for a much anticipated week away. We just got home two hours ago and we are ready to go back!
Our stay at this house was very pleasant. The condition of the property was great. All of the appliances are new and the kitchen is well stocked with plenty of dish ware that was also in good condition. We have rented homes in the past that don't provide useable cutlery and kitchen items and it can make food preparation frustrating. The back deck overlooks the huge backyard and is a nice gathering area. Its great for kids and dogs! The living space is cozy and the bedrooms on the lower level are roomy and nicely decorated. The whole house has a nice beachy feel.
The town and beach area are excellent. There are tons of places to eat in walking distance. Walking along the sea wall after meals was a favorite activity for us in the evenings. You can stop at the Coast GUard House and sit on the deck overlooking the ocean and have a drink as well. There are also lots of restaurNts in short driving distance that should not be missed. There is a nice list at the house on the fridge that the owners have put toghether. They also list some nice places to check out that are a little bit off the beaten path, so check it out if you stay. The town beach is the best we've ever been at in the Rhode Island area. It gets a little crowded so go early or wait until after 3pm or so and it's a much nicer experience. Walk down to the river at the end of the beach, it's a real treat especially for kids with boogie boards!
I would recommend this property and town to anyone looking for a nice beach town with lots of activities for all ages. We had a great time!
Dear Charles and Michele,
We really enjoyed our vacation. Your listing description was spot on! The house was perfect for us. What we called the "east wing" allowed privacy for our children and their kids. We enjoyed our walks to the beach and everything was in close proximity to the house. The weather was fantastic and we spent every day at the beach. The house was neat and clean and felt like home away from home. And our dogs really enjoyed lounging around in the yard with us. When we were home we spent almost all our time outside and it was extremely relaxing. The restaurant recommendations were very helpful, we went to 5 of the ones you suggested. Thank you for making us feel so welcome!
