Wonderful experiance at the Suites de la Gare
My boyfriend and I recently enjoyed a 10 night stay in a one bedroom rental unit at the suites de la gare over the holiday season. We arrived at the property later than expected, but Denis the property caretaker showed us our unit with enthusiasm and was able to direct us to some late night dinner options and local markets. The unit itself was modern, clean, had all the basic kitchen utensils, even a hand mixer if you wanted to bake something. The living room had a gas fireplace and flat screen. The couch was a little small, but still very comfortable. The bedroom was equipped with a flat screen and most comfortable bed and pillows (seriously, I have back issues and it was like sleeping on a cloud). There were individual heating/cooling units in every room.
The property also receives a discount for the Scandinavian spas. Odavva the reservationist was able to book my services for me with ease.
The property is also equipped with an onsite restaurant. It is operated by a lovely French couple who were lovely to talk to. It opens very early, so its convenient for pastries, coffee, etc. We were also given a complimentary breakfast for two at check-in. Not only was the hot breakfast wonderful, but it was also presented in a aesthetically beautiful way.
The property is located in between the town of saint jovite (5 minutes) and tremblant (10-15 minutes). It also sits on the p'tit train du nord, great for cross country skiing or mountain biking.
Having no complaints during our stay, I would recommend the suites for couples, families or individuals looking for a quiet and relaxing stay at a reasonable price. I would definitely return here in the future. Thank you Denis and Odavva for the wonderful experience!
