Welcome to Captain & King's luxury condo rental at the newly completed Caravanserai Beach Resort. Located on the 2nd floor oceanfront on the real Fantasy Island, where “The Plane, “The Plane”, was first heard. The “Friendly Island” often described as Key West on Steroids.

Our 2nd floor ocean front suite unit offers style and class, specialy designed for clients that do not want to cook much, or plan to spend time in their room. Just a mere 75-100 steps from Bliss and Sunset Bar & Grill (unparalleled fun and exciting night life). Only a 5 minute walk to Maho Village, and its fabulous shops, clubs, restaurants, and the Casino Royale. Just minutes from Princess Juliana Airport. Watch the planes arrive from your private ocean-view balcony, while sipping your favorite beverage. Relax in the perfect harmony of lapping waves on the rocks below. Feel the cooling effect of tropical trade winds. Enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world.

The suite unit features a queen size bed, mini kitchen (small fridge, microwave, and coffee maker), and is about the size of a hotel room. Italian tile floors thru out. unit is beautifully decorated, and furnished with appropriate towels, linens, silver and dishware, etc. Unit has a flat screen TV, hairdryer, and iron. full bathroom:single sink & shower only

Our units are privately owned, allowing you to book any day, for any length of stay; this allows you to save over higher weekend airfares. Units can be rented separately as, 2BR L/O(349212) 1 BR(1BR L/O(349213), large king studio(349244), or small studio(349211). ( See above listings, for rates, details, and additional photos). We have a 3 night minimum and require a 50% deposit @ time of booking (fully refundable until 45 days before check-in), when final payment is due. Pay Pal preferred, but will accept other means of payment.

Resort offers: 2 beautiful shared pools: Main pool with swim-up bar and jacuzzi, and a 2nd relaxing saltwater pool, offering sandy beach areas with ocean side massages. On-site Wifi and casino (slots only).

Bios: I am Terry S. Tamblyn'The Captain'

a happily-married retired Charleston, SC Harbor Pilot. I'm a world traveler,avid golfer,cruiser, fun seeker & like to be where the action is; hence The Caravanserai Beach Resort in the Maho area of St Martin (my spelling for the whole island) I will be handling all contact and rental information.

Mike King: 'The King', Retired from the insurance & printing business, and is an entrepreneur exstroidinare. He is also happily -married, loves the island, and spends a great deal of time there, as his 2nd residence is in Coupecoy. He has also been one of my best friends for over 20 years.

Why The Owner chose Maho

After traveling the Caribbean extensively for over 30 years, St. Maarten/St Martin became my overwhelming favorite destination. The Maho Bay area offered everything I was looking for: fabulous beaches, sun, fun, incredible restuarants, bars, nightlife, and gambling. With almost anything else your heart desires, among varying cultures, being only a short drive away. The people are among the friendliest, courteous, and helpful of any island I've ever visited. It was an easy choice for my destination wedding 7 years ago. My wife and I return several times a year. When Caravanserai Beach Resort started new construction, purchasing was a no-brainer. My partner loved the Island so much, he also purchased a magnificent 2nd personal residence in Coupecoy. We would like the opportunity to show how we can put our experince to work, making your vacation a memorable sensation.

Best place to stay for those on a budget

My girlfriend and I have stayed at The Captain and King's studio unit 4 times and I will go back again because it suits our needs perfectly. We love to eat out at various restaurants, finding new favorites each trip to The Friendly Island. We enjoy the 2 pools and poolside bar at Caravanseri, the free wi-fi in the lobby, the close, secure parking, and the accomodating staff. The Caribbean views from the unit and the pools are beautiful--bring your camera.The world famous Sunset Bar and Grill is only steps away and is a must-see for any St Maarten visitor. And a short stroll away is the vibrant scene of Maho Village, with about 15 restaurants, casino, shopping, pharmacy, spa, etc. This studio unit is perfect for adventuresome couples like us who don't like to sit around and read books and sip coffee. It's centrally located between Mullet Beach/golf course/Maho Village and the restaurant row of Simpson Bay, which is one of the places to be for excellent dining and dancing. I would highly recommend this little unit for anyone that likes to get out and explore.
