To enjoy country life is to enjoy an evening barbecue after a satisfying holiday day, or to taste a glass of wine in our vaulted cellar. Or to enjoy the sunset from on patio. Fill up on the Oden Forest's good mountain air. Enjoy a fresh peppermint tea from our farmer's garden. Or simply spend the day lazing about, observing the surrounding farm life. If that all sounds attractive, then this is the right place! You may, of course, plan an active vacation here. Cycling, hiking, riding (you can also bring your own horse), swimming, mountain biking, gliding, or paragliding. The region has a well-marked network of hiking trails. We place great importance on sleeping quality. Each apartment has it's own particular profile. As far as it is possible, we endeavour to fulfil all of your wishes.

Our country house is situated on a sunny terrace at the outskirts of Rothenberg, 25 km north-east of Heidelberg. It has a view of the beautiful Oden Forest's landscape. Eberbach, Erbach, Michelstadt, Amorbach and Miltenberg are just some of the many romantic little towns which are worth visiting. Rothenberg itself is a veritable paradise for hiking, mountain biking, paragliding, Nordic walking, fishing, or simply relaxing on the lawn. During the winter, you can go cross-country skiing or tobogganing in this is a fairy-tale landscape. Fill up on tranquillity and good air (no through traffic). There are beautiful pools available during the summer. Barbecue in the inner courtyard during the evening, or visit one of the locals. From cosy beer gardens to a cocktail bar and high-class restaurants, there's something here for every one. For each season, Oden Forest has its own special charm: the blooming orchards of spring, summer freshness when the valleys become unbearable, colourful forests

Das Ferienhaus bzw. die Ferienwohnungen befinden sich in einem alten Bauernhof von 1750. Bauernhofbetrieb findet heute keiner mehr statt - aber das Flair ist geblieben.
Für Familien mit Kindern beonders ideal aufgrund der vielen Tiere in naher Umgebung: Pferde, Kühe, Esel, Hühner und nicht zuletzt auch Schafe und Ziegen.
Rothenberg befindet sich an einem hochgelegenen Berghang des Odenwaldes. Der Hof liegt den ganzen Tag über in der Sonne, Schattenplätze sind auch ausreichend vorhanden. Ringsumher: Weiden, Wiesen, Wälder... Idylle pur!
In der näheren Umgebung befindet sich das mittelalterliche Hirschhorn mit Burg, Neckarsteinach mit 4 (!) Burgen sowie Heidelberg!
Im Nachbarsort gibt es ein Freibad und die Möglichkeit zum Ponyreiten. Überall locken hübsche Wanderwege zu einem Spaziergang für Gross und Klein.
Die Austattung der Wohnungen ist prima, sogar ein Wickeltisch und Flaschenwärmer haben nicht gefehlt.
Den Vermietern ist das Wohl der Gäste ein grosses Bedürfnis. Auf sehr zuvorkommende und freundliche Weise schaffen sie es, dass man sich bald, wie zu Hause fühlt!
Ein besonderes Highlight unseres Aufenthaltes war ein Osterfeuer - mit allem, was dazugehört: Stockbrot, Bier und gute Gepräche brachten alle Feriengäste zusammen.
Wir können dieses Feriendomizil uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen - und waren selbst sicher nicht zum letzten Mal da!
Viel Spass im Odenwald!
