Walk to either Texas French Bread or the Brick Oven for lunch. Shop along Lamar at Central Market, 29th street or along Kerbey Lane and 38th street. Rent bikes and head out to the Veloway and stop at the Lady Bird Wildflower Center on the way or over to Oyster Landing for lake viewing. Take in a day of museums at the Blanton, Laguna Gloria or the State History Museum, topped off by art openings at Shoal Creek Gallery, Russell’s or Wally Workman.
