Enjoy all that Austin has to offer: music, dining, lake activities, UT activities and sports, all conveniently located within easy driving, biking or walking distance.

Run out the front door to Town Lake by way of the Shoal Creek hike and bike trail for a quick morning 10K, stop at Whole Foods or Austin Java on the way home for a coffee and breakfast. Walk to either Texas French Bread or the Brick Oven for lunch. Shop along Lamar at Central Market, 29th street or along Kerbey Lane and 38th street. Rent bikes and head out to the Veloway and stop at the Lady Bird Wildflower Center on the way or over to Oyster Landing for lake viewing. Take in a day of museums at the Blanton, Laguna Gloria or the State History Museum, topped off by art openings at Shoal Creek Gallery, Russell’s or Wally Workman. Walk to have drinks and dinner on the deck at either Fino or Russell’s or head downtown for world class cuisine and music. Have a nightcap sitting on the covered patio under the trees.

Location! Location! Location!

First off let me say we loved this location. The house is located not far from downtown Austin. It has quick access to the Shoal Creek Trail that is ideal for running or walking. You can follow the trail all the way to downtown. If trail walking isn’t for you then you can take a leisurely stroll down Wooldridge Drive and take in the many beautiful homes in the Pemberton Heights area. Of particular interest is the Pemberton castle that is just a short walk down the street.

While the unit is not huge it has an open floor plan. The downstairs is one room which gives the kitchen and eating area the feel of something much larger. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could need. A powder room and washer and dryer completes the space. It has a polished concrete floor which not only looked good but was low maintenance and very easy to clean. The ground floor had a 10-foot ceiling with many windows that let in a lot of natural lighting. It was very comfortable and plenty of room for the two of us.

The second level has 2 bedrooms. Both rooms have a queen size bed and its own private bathrooms. The master bedroom is spacious with a small walk out deck, spacious walk-in closet, lovely bathroom and large windows that make the room bright and airy. The 2nd bedroom has its own bathroom and plenty of closet space.

The owners lived next door and were very responsive to any concerns we had. We would highly recommend this unit to anyone looking for accommodations in Austin.

My husband and I and our two dogs just spent six weeks at this terrific townhouse in central Austin. I agree with everything the previous review said and would emphasize the lovely accommodations and easy to work with owners. We have rented through vrbo all over the country and this was one of our best experiences. Although there were only two of us, the home would easily accommodate four people with two master suites upstairs. The weather was too cool to sit outside, but there is a nice covered patio and private fenced in courtyard which our dogs loved. The location is hard to beat with plenty of good inexpensive restaurants nearby and top notch places just two miles into the city center. Access to MoPac is easy too which is a big advantage if you want to head to the malls or out to the Hill Country. If you're looking to spend time in Austin for work or play, I would highly recommend the Pemberton Heights townhome.

We spent a pleasant month here. Brand new, attractive and comfortable, it’s not just a convenient rental, but a home away from home. Quiet, great location – it invites walks in one of Austin’s loveliest old neighborhoods as well as on the near-by hike-and-bike trail. An easy drive to good restaurants, Central Market and the University.
The architect and builder owners were most accommodating without being intrusive – they care to make their tenant’s stay comfortable. We’d recommend it to anyone – although the long staircase to the upstairs bedrooms (while carpeted) might be daunting to some.
