To enjoy country life is to enjoy an evening barbecue after a satisfying holiday day, or to taste a glass of wine in our vaulted cellar. Or to enjoy the sunset from on patio. Fill up on the Oden Forest's good mountain air. Enjoy a fresh peppermint tea from our farmer's garden. Or simply spend the day lazing about, observing the surrounding farm life. If that all sounds attractive, then this is the right place! You may, of course, plan an active vacation here. Cycling, hiking, riding (you can also bring your own horse), swimming, mountain biking, gliding, or paragliding. The region has a well-marked network of hiking trails. We place great importance on sleeping quality. Each apartment has it's own particular profile. As far as it is possible, we endeavour to fulfil all of your wishes.

Our country house is an old farmstead. Farmhouse character. The buildings are arranged in a 'U' pattern. The cozy inner courtyard is situated in the middle. It is good for barbecuing. We have set up a small farm museum in the old feed kitchen. Along with farming utensils, you can also see the exhibit 'From Grain to Bread.' Our 4-star apartment, 'Fruit Storehouse,' was constructed in the old fruit storehouse in 2004. With its old beams and walls, the apartment has retained a special character. Our 3-star apartments are located in the main building. Each apartment has been individually constructed. Type 1 is our family apartment, very spacious, with a large kitchen-cum-living-room and an indescribable panoramic view. Type 2 is perfect for couples who do not like to live cramped, or to sleep apart. A beautiful, west-facing kitchen-cum-living-room helps make it very cozy indeed. Type 3 has a living room/bedroom with a west-facing balcony and a spacious kitchen-cum-living-room.

Our country house is situated on a sunny terrace at the outskirts of Rothenberg, 25 km north-east of Heidelberg. It has a view of the beautiful Oden Forest's landscape. Eberbach, Erbach, Michelstadt, Amorbach and Miltenberg are just some of the many romantic little towns which are worth visiting. Rothenberg itself is a veritable paradise for hiking, mountain biking, paragliding, Nordic walking, fishing, or simply relaxing on the lawn. During the winter, you can go cross-country skiing or tobogganing in this is a fairy-tale landscape. Fill up on tranquillity and good air (no through traffic). There are beautiful pools available during the summer. Barbecue in the inner courtyard during the evening, or visit one of the locals. From cosy beer gardens to a cocktail bar and high-class restaurants, there's something here for every one. For each season, Oden Forest has its own special charm: the blooming orchards of spring, summer freshness when the valleys become unbearable, colourful forests

  • Weekly bookings: the price is valid for 12 persons, each additional person costs €10.00 per day. Prices are final, there are no additional costs. There is a 10% discount starting at the 3rd week. The beds are made.

    Daily bookings: Our apartments can be be booked on a daily basis for short stays only. In this case, there is an additional final cleaning fee of €90.00. Bedding may be brought one's self, or we'll provide bedding for €8.00 a bed.
