Cedar North Laguna - Remodeled Rental-From February 23

I stayed in this apartment for a month (Nov 2012) while in the area for work, and I couldn't have been happier. It was a terrific location (2 streets back from the beach) and an easy walk to cafes and a grocery store (Wholefoods), plus lots of art galleries to check out around the place.

It was extremely clean, and the furnishings were all top quality which made it really nice to come home to each day. Plus the bed was super comfy! I don't think I've slept as well in years! Other things that were important to me: the kitchen was well equipped (I cooked my own meals each night - much better than staying in a hotel); the wireless internet was fast and reliable (I was Skyping regularly and it worked great - no lagging at all); there were two flat screens TVs (one in the lounge and one in the bedroom), both with cable.

There were a few minor things that occurred during my stay (e.g., the cable stopped working) but they got someone out immediately to get it fixed. Similarly, anything else I requested to make my stay a bit more comfortable (like an extra blanket as the nights were starting to get a bit chilly) were provided that same day. I felt that this was truly exceptional customer service.

I already miss the place - it really felt like home - and plan to return on my next trip over. I definitely recommend it for a single traveller or couple (I should point out that although the couch can fold out to a bed, this is the only living space and so it really wouldn't work trying to do this for more than a night or so).

My only reservation is that it didn't have any airconditioning and so in the middle of summer it might get a bit hot - if the owner installs a/c then this place would be absolutely perfect. But since I was there in fall this wasn't a problem for me.
