I have been visiting Reno since the 80s from Canada. I have seen a lot of changes over the years. I used to come for Hot August Nights and the night life but now I see Reno has so much more to offer.
The Owner purchased this studio in 2011
At the beginning I purchased my condo so I could attend my favorite events while visiting Reno. Every month has something different to offer.. July is Art town, August has Hot August Nights, September is Street Vibrations.
I did a little research on renting a casino hotel room. I could not find one casino that rents out a room for less than a $1200.00 a month, and all you get is a room with a bed, TV, table and chair.
I wanted a place that would be “my home away from home” Where I could cook my own meals etc. and is walking distance to most places. Park Towers fit the bill perfectly. However there is one drawback, no parking. The problem was solved by renting a space at a parking garage only 3.5 minutes walking distance away, behind the Century Theater for $47.00 a month. I am usually out late and don't return till around midnight. Walking back from the garage has never been a problem. The area is well lit and police presence is evident. As a matter of fact, the Police Station is at the end of the block from the building.
It seemed a shame to leave the condo empty while I was away so I decided to rent it out. I have an excellent friend, Paula, who lives in the building, who manages my unit and is one of the best source of information about Reno you could ever meet. And another friend, Kathy who helps out when she is in Reno.
I am a very fortunate person.
Affordable. Approximately, $40 a night for a furnished studio with a kitchen.
Walking distance to just about everything you would need.
Health food store right behind the building.
White water park across the street.
