We bought this property so that our family would have a home to build memories in together in this special place. We have 2 young daughters that love to come here and spend time with their grandparents, cousins and friends.
I grew up spending my summers in Madaket with family. This property is in a great location close to all that Madaket and Nantucket have to offer. The house has lots of privacy and space for family and has a warm feeling to it.
We have started to renovate the house beginning with the first floor. There are new beds and flooring and we have put in a laundry sink and improved laundry room. We love our home and would love to share it with you and get your feedback.
Our family has been coming to Nantucket for over 70 years and Madaket has always been our favorite area. Each year we look forward to spending time together on this unique island with a slightly slowed down pace of living. Bike riding, swimming and fishing for some. For others (or if it rains) there is the town dating back to the whaling days of the 1600's with museums, shopping, fine dining and cultural activities throughout the summer. Everyone enjoys ice cream and sitting on the beach. New visitors are always taken aback by the diversity of beaches surrounding the island. Arguably the best beaches on Nantucket are located on the Western side of the island- Cisco for riding waves, Madaket for sunsets, and Dionis for beach walking and gentle waves for the children.
