This 5-bedroom Alpine-style chalet is equipped with a hot tub, sauna, two kitchens and two bathrooms. It has comfortable furniture and beds, and classic ski lodge look and feel. This is the essential ingredient in great weekend getaways and family memories.

Why Alison chose Iron River

We have a large family and extended family. This property allows multiple families to be close together and really share each other's company. Nobody has to jump in a car or go back to a sterile hotel room in the middle of the evening. Family and friends can hang out as late as they want and retire to their bed a few steps away.

What makes this chalet unique

Ski Brule has one of the earliest starts and latest ends to skiing in the Midwest. And, excellent fishing and hunting are nearby. The town of Iron River can provide golf, restaurants, groceries or antiquing just a few minutes away. This property also boasts a hot tub, sauna, scenic deck and fire pit. It's also great for large groups and multi-family outings. It also has two full kitchens and two bathrooms. Nordic Haus is also just a few 100 yards from one of the county snowmobile trails (#15). So it's ski-in/ski-out, and snowmobile-in/snowmobile-out.

A charge of $10/person/night applies to each 13th-21st person. A $300 security deposit is required for the first stay (drops to $0 thereafter). Cancelling 30 days or more prior to arrival has a $100 handling fee. No refunds if cancelled within 30 days of scheduled arrival. No refunds for partial stays, late arrival, or due to unforeseen circumstances. No-shows forfeit 100% of rental deposit.

Nordic Haus is a lovely Home away from Home.

We just spent the weekend at the Nordic Haus. It is a lovely ski chalet to stay in.
Very close to Ski Brule. The 5 bedrooms & generous loft area fit our family of 14 well. The hot tub is a great addition after a snowy day of skiing. Great communication with the owners! Only improvements we would suggest are wi-fi access & upgrading toilets. They have a hard time keeping up with 14 people(especially in the mornings). Bring own towels, there are a limited supply. Blankets & bedding were abundant.

Can't wait for our family to return in 2014!

We had stocked the chalet with 25 towels at the beginning of the season. I don't know if some of those towels have started vacations of their own elsewhere. We'll boost that to 35 towels and see how that does.

We do plan on having wi-fi and basic cable TV installed. I've ordered it (twice!) from the local provider, but they haven't managed to get it done yet. I will list those amenities in the listing when they are added.
