Spectacular View

I would like to take this opportunity to say that the pictures are exactly what you get. The condo is very well cared for and clean. Although, we did not do any real cooking during our stay the condo was very well equipped. Our flight into Curacao wasn't due to arrive until around 7:30p so, we requested a starter package that Tommi and Uli so graciously provided. (coffee, juice, bread, eggs, cheese, lunch meat, beer, wine and butter) Also, Tommi and Uli opened up the condo windows, left a light on, pitcher of cold water in fridge and full ice trays in the freezer; I must say all that was very nice after a long day of traveling. The resort has a very nice pool with spectacular views of the ocean when looking out over the ocean and looking toward the northwest coast it is just stunning. It reminded me of the sea cliff villages in Spain and Italy. The relaxing views from the 1st floor and 2nd floor of the condo villa were very tranquil and peaceful over a few cups of coffee in the morning and a few glasses of wine in the evening. We went over the Christmas week holiday and the MDR complex was not overly crowded. We are not into diving or snorkeling, but the resort has two sea entrances; which other guest at the resort said both were absolutly amazaing. I don't doubt it because we saw very brightly colored fish and dolphins just from the view looking over the side of the cliff wall.
It is some distance into Willamstad, but not a bad drive. The roads are paved and in fairly decent shape. (I have been on worse roads in the states) It is a must to rent a car on the island as nothing is really in walking distance except a couple of small beaches and two or three restaurants.
We did not see any snakes, thank God, but did however see numerous lizards and iguanas. (so don't be suprised in the afternoons as the lizards come out of every nook and crack) It was a little creepy, but all and all they didn't really bother us much.
Just a side note, we flew Insel Air out of Charlotte direct to Curacao. Although our plane left 2 hours late it was not a bad flight. Leaving Curacao back to Charlotte our plane left 1 hour late, again not a bad flight. I saw horrible review about Insel Air after booking, but our expierence was fine. I could see how if you were flying them in hopes of a connecting flight you could have trouble. The airline seems to move as everything on Curacao does; which is at a slow pace, but it is vacation and Americans tend to be overly anxious.

Owner's Response: Thanks Brian and Rita,
We are so happy that we finished the newly expanded owners suite in time for your stay. The new pergola added a great touch to the unit, and really transformed the balcony into a great shaded space for relaxing, dining or just taking in the ocean scenes. The new king bed really helped finish the suite.
We love all the little wildlife found with in the resort, we even have quite a few wild parrots come for daily visits. Of course all the window and door screens do a great job keeping everything outside where they belong. Great to hear you saw the dolphins! They do tend to frequent the bay area right next to the resort.
Come back soon!
Chris & Andrea
