One of the greatest benefits of North Padre Island is location, location, location! The Island is situated just a short 20 minute drive from downtown Corpus Christi (the 8th largest Texas city) yet provides immediate boat access to the Gulf of Mexico through the Packery Channel. White sand beaches that separate North Padre Island from Port Arkansas offer many areas for family's and tourists to swim or walk along and search for shells. Our home is located 1.5 miles from White Cap beach. Located between Padre Balli Park and the beginning of the seawall on the North Padre Island, White Cap beach runs about 1.5 miles long. This beach has no facilities or paved area. There is a public beach with facilities and paved parking located .5 mi North of White Cap. Fish at the Packery Channel Jetties or the Bob Hall Pier in 8 minutes. Surfing, kayaking, windsurfing, birding, fishing, and water skiing are regular outdoor opportunities in the Laguna and along the National Seashore just minutes away. For those who love horseback riding on the beach – it’s available!!! Experience Island living with a variety of restaurants appealing to every palette, specialty stores, cafes and fun stuff (miniature golf, golfing) within 3 miles.
