Our Dancing Bear in Lake Placid

Lake Placid exceeded my expectations and this lakeside condo was conveniently located to it all. Here we were able to find the perfect balance of things to do to entertain our seven year old daughter, plus some time for rest and relaxation. As a family we enjoyed lots of great hikes, taking in the changing colors of the fall season. We also enjoyed our tour of the Olympic museum and venues where we learned all about the Olympic history of the area. The property itself surrounding the condo was lovely and included plenty of Adirondack chairs right by the lake where we could have some fun skipping rocks across the surface and dipping a toe or two in the water.

All concerns of what we needed to take with us were alleviated up arrival. The condo was well equipped with anything you might need while there from games and books; cable television and DVD player to entertain our daughter so we could escape to the porch overlooking the lake for a nice glass of wine; a stocked kitchen with all the necessity’s to cook in one night (grocery store close by); plenty of firewood and fire starting equipment; and lots of brochures to help us find our way around and make the most of our visit.

This very comfortable and quaint town of Lake Placid has a local feel that makes it feel like home. This affordable, cozy condo done up in the local Adirondack style reinforced that feel. We really lucked out when we found this gem that I hope we will return to again and next time for more than a long weekend.
