About Diane Holley

Stewarding the land was one of my main objectives when I purchased this land and have had wonderful six years of creating a retreat and organic farm for myself. I want to share this incredible peaceful and great energy of this place with visitors who are planning to enjoy a myriad of events Austin and its surrounding areas have to offer.

Why Diane Holley chose Austin area

This property was one of the few that fit my demands for creating a truly chemical-free, organic farming property. Even though no animals (other than outdoor cats) are living on the land at this time, I have had a wonderful time raising sheep, goats, chickens, rabbits, worms, and fish on this place. Permaculture experiments have proven quite successful, and the property will also serve for retreats and seminars for like-minded people.

What makes this estate unique

The property is truly off the beaten path. The pond area is home to many frogs, birds of all kinds visit, it is a green oasis in our drought ridden Central Texas area, and we are close to the happening areas of Austin with the promise of the peace you look for in vacation times.

Wow, what a beautiful spot for a reunion.

We had a wonderful time with family and friends. Holley's hideaway provided a perfect environment for everyone to relax. Some of us chilled indoors while others really enjoyed the outdoors with the beautiful scenery. We made memories that will last a lifetime.

The perfect Getaway

Plenty of everything! We had probably 10 vehicles there at one time and everyone get out when needed. There were a lot of extra accommodations that you wont find anywhere else. The owner is was VERY easy to work with. There were probably 100 towels, many extra blankets and places to sleep. The back patio was a wonderful place to hangout. We had a great time.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

I am glad to know you had a happy get together here.

I have opened up the greenhouse for some puttering around.
I have so many baby aloes! Take a share this wonderful variety...

I have established beds( now popping up all over property) of Artichoke, Swiss Chard, Arugula, Cilantro, galore! So when you visit be sure and pick and eat.
These are heirloom seed (plenty to share), 4 inch pots, and rich soil, if you would like to pot up some starters and take home, just let me know and I will put the seed in the greenhouse.

I talked to my son about putting in a little putting green for you golfers, I hope to have that done by the end of the year. Please send me an email if you have any thoughts on the design.. must be compatible with permaculture, LOL...

Everything is in full bloom and happy. The plants are well established and in harmony with where they have been planted. They will greet you with lots of love and I do believe have created a healing environment for All who encounter them.

As the title says the pictures don't really do it justice. I stayed here with 11 other people and the place is absolutely perfect! We had plenty of beds and beds to spare as well. We also didn't even realize that there was a pull out couch in the living room. The set up of the place really takes the cake. You pull up to the house and you see just an amazing place. As you finish walking through the house and go out to the back porch it is absolutely breathtaking. Off to the left you'll see a nice pond. You'll see a bunch of tables and chairs spread out, so it's perfect for large groups. There is also speakers outside connected to the stereo inside, which is awesome for having people over. We had another group over our last night there and it was perfect. We had so much room with all the tables, chairs, the huge back porch. It was really awesome cause we had some music going through the stereo so it was extremely relaxing. And I haven't even talked about the guest house which is amazing as well. All in all, this place is a real gem that has yet to take the attention it really deserves. Definitely worth 5/5 stars!
