My name is Jill, I live in CT where I manage a dental office. I have two children, a boy and girl who keep me very busy. I have family in ME and we visit several times a year.

Jill Maier purchased this house in 2006

Originally owned by my grandmother, I acquired this property in 2006. There are so many special family memories here. It is such a wonderful area, very tranquil, I am truly at peace here. It is hard to explain to someone how beautiful the Maine coast is who has never experienced it for themselves, for those who have, I need say no more! I have been blessed to have spent so many summer weeks in Maine. My hope is that everyone who stays at this unique beach house will go home feeling like they cannot wait to come back! That is how I always feel.

This is the perfect spot for relaxing. You can hear and see the ocean from the house and just have to walk to the end of the road to stick your feet in the sand. Because the house is located on a private road, there is no traffic noise and it is very safe for kids to ride bikes or walk to the beach themselves, that is one thing my kids absolutely love!! The neighbors are very friendly and everyone respects each others privacy. You can walk or bike to Kettle Cove and Two Lights State Park. Because Portland is only a 15 min drive away you really get the best of both worlds between relaxing at the beach and going into the city for shopping, dining and entertainment, not to mention a Sea Dogs game, great old New England stadium! We go to at least one or two games a year.

SWEET SEA BREEZES!

  • 5 of 5
We loved our stay at Jill's lovely home in Cape Elizabeth. The house is clean, comfortable and made for a relaxing stay. There are great trails nearby as well as those in South Portland and Portland. For those who love lobster the Lobster Shack is about 2 miles away and has the best lobster ever! Not to mention an outstanding view! Good Table is also close and has excellent food at a reasonable pice. Nonesuch Books, in South Portland is the best bookstore ever! We loved Kettle Cove Ice Cream. I highly recommend all flavors! Crescent Beach is gorgeous and a stone's throw from the house.
Jill is an accommodating person and made the whole stay so pleasant.

CRESCENT BEACH COTTAGE

  • 5 of 5
A perfect location, we walked to the beach and the ice cream store everyday. The property is clean and well maintained. The rooms were sweet and beds comfortable. And the kitchen had everything we needed. It was so lovely to use the hot water outside from the garden hose to splash the sand off the kids before they went inside. My husband spent many hours on the deck (seen in the photograph) painting the view. We had no idea that there were hiking trails and jogging trails so close by. It was a treat to explore the area without having to drive. Even an outstanding restaurant The Good Plate is close by. We had such a relaxing and fun vacation. We can't wait to return. Thank you so much Jill.

We had such a wonderful visit and this charming home was the perfect place for us to stay. The location is wonderful. The beach is just right there!! Two Lights is just down the way 2 miles. Portland Head Light very close too. The home owner is so nice! Speaking to her before our visit was very pleasant. I recommend this home to anyone that wants the whole package, comfort, location, beach, good food, quiet neighborhood. This place offered it all.

GREAT BEACH HOUSE, SUPER LOCATION

  • 5 of 5
We were lucky enough to spend a few days at this perfect little beach house. My family was very comfortable, there were 3 adults and two small children ages 6 and 3, we also had a 5 yr old guest for much of the day on Saturday and felt quite comfortable. The house provided us with everything we needed, plenty of dishes, cookware, barbecue, and laundry facilities. The yard is very private and perfect for children to play in. The location of the house is excellent just a short walk down a very quiet dirt rd and you are on crescent beach, which is a wonderful beach if you have never been, even with a 3 yr old in tow, no problem at all getting to the beach with all our gear and no safety issue what so ever. Right around the corner is the most delicious ice cream in the world, the Kettle Cove Creamery, I recommend the peanut butter Oreo flavor. The furnishings were comfortable and rugged, which is always relaxing to me when you have small kids. My family lived in Cape for 2 years, and I speak from experience when I say this location is where you want to be! The owner was very accommodating, it felt like we were staying at a friend’s house and we all tried to take special care of everything, in hopes the next guest would enjoy their stay as much as we did. We were very happy with our short stay, and will definitely return in the near future.

LOVELY SPOT

  • 5 of 5
It was our pleasure to spend Christmas at this cute cottage. Obviously, this was a different type of beach time, but just as enjoyable. The beach is an easy walk down a well-defined path. Even in winter, worth the walk. The water view from the living room each evening was lovely. In different seasons, it would be even more enjoyable from the deck. We found the cottage to be well equipped and it provided just what we wanted for our winter week at the beach.

The local community was very nice. A grocery was a short drive away. We had an excellent dinner at The Good Table. In summer, the ice cream shop would be an easy drive. The trip into Portland was not only easy, but along a drive of beautiful homes and ocean views.

We also found it extremely easy to deal with the owner. She was organized and helpful.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY IN CAPE ELIZABETH

  • 5 of 5
Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property...great location and well-maintained. The owner was very responsive and helpful in answering questions I had prior to arrival. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach...very picturesque. We ate at the Good Table restaurant one night. I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area. During our stay, we went lobstering and enjoyed visiting Portland Head Light and Two Lights State Park (a really great place to take pictures and let the kids enjoy the trails and climbing rocks). We also went into Freeport one day to do a little shopping. The Lobster Shack at Two Lights also has great food. At the end of each day, we really felt "at home" here. I just wish it wasn't so far from our home so that we could stay again soon!
