022 ST. GERMAIN LOCATION, CONTEMPORARY, RENOVATED

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
I was very happy with the location.
The vacation rental was spotless.
The property manager was adequately helpful.
Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

Property as pictured and described: excellent location, modern attractive furnshings, high end bath/kitchen fixtures. Very clean and quiet. Impressive fixture upgrades but neglectful of basics. Total 5 bath towels, all grey, dingy, thin and 3 had rips of 6" or more (took photos and would email for the incredulous). Single handtowel in toilet room dingy and thin and was from Novotel hotel chain. Chose apartment vs hotel to take advantage of beautiful foods from Rue de Buci shops. Oven would not work, could only get a "securitee" message on the screen and no instruction manual as to bypass. Got cooktop to work after much effort finding/reading instruction manual and deactivating childproof lock. As to kitchen basics, by far the most meagerly equipped we ever saw, example ONE thin bladed and dull cutting knife, husband fortunately had brought a pocket knife/corkscrew to use instead. Hanging area for clothes fine but zero drawer space so used suitcases in a small space meant we were stepping over suitcases for the entire stay. Small desk in bedroom could be replaced with drawers. Have owned rental property on Kiawah Island in US, expensive real estate and rental prices, and these amenities would not be acceptable there, why should it be in Paris? Email to Cobblestay asking for help when their recommended airport transfer would not respond went unanswered. Woman who had given us apartment key (Judy - who is not property manager)did respond. Husband and I were very eager to stay at this apartment (for milestone birthday), it was pictured as so luxurious, but the end result fell very short of our expectations. Problem not in apartment per se but in price paid for inattention to the basics,a pretty but unusable kitchen, and questionable support from Cobblestay once we were on premises (and paid-in-full!).
