After using this property as our vacation home, we recently retired in beautiful (and warm!) Savannah. We love the downtown historic district...walking to restaurants, shopping, sightseeing and squares/parks. Our daughter brought us here by attending Savannah College of Art & Design, which is a short walk from the house.
Kelly purchased this house in 2011
We love the chance to 'live history' in this home with its original flooring, fireplaces, features, location and character! No car needed, just walk outside and enjoy everything historic Savannah has to offer.
Savannah always has something interesting happening within walking distance. Tours, sightseeing, famous restaurants, unique shopping, antiquing, incredible weather, squares full of live oaks and Spanish moss are just outside the door. The beach, golfing, and fishing are a short 15 minute drive away.
My friends and I stayed here for a girls weekend and had a fabulous time! The house is spacious, clean, comfortable and well appointed. It was close to everything! I would definitely stay here again!
When traveling to Savannah, you won't find a more comfortable and better located rental home. Kelly, the owner, was very helpful in making our stay as pleasant as possible. We were really impressed with the comfy furniture. There were tons of little touches that make all the difference - extra towels and pillows, a modern washer and dryer, a huge shower, and videos and games. It was easy to walk all the way to the river front and throughout town. There are also many great restaurants all within easy walking distance. We had a great time staying at the Lavinia Low House.
We stayed at the Lavina Low house with our two small children for 2 nights and had a lovely time. Everything we wanted to do in our short stay was within a short walking distance. The rooms were cozy, clean, and perfect for our family. We even used the little sitting room at the top of the stairs as a bedroom for our baby. So...yes a pack n play fits in there. Kelly was wonderful to work with and helpful with ideas for things to do. The home away app and emails included all of the information we needed for our stay. Wonderful! Definately will return again!
This historic rental home is beautiful and is in the perfect location for Savannah tourist. It is located in a beautiful neighborhood and is walking distance from parks, shops, restaurants and more….although I wouldn’t recommend walking on a hot day. It’s also only a twenty minute drive to the beach. The house is spacious and clean and will easily accommodate a family of five or a group of friends. The kitchen is newly (and beautifully might I add) upgraded and fully equipped making it perfect for fixing quick meals and snacks or storing leftovers. The family room has comfy couches and digital cable which is perfect for lounging around and playing a few games of UNO. The back patio is perfect for a fresh breeze while enjoying a cool drink. Besides a random barking dog and a harmless strayed cat (whose owners eventually found him), the neighborhood is very quiet and friendly. There’s free street parking directly across the street which made loading and unloading fairly easy. This house worked out perfectly for my friends and I. I highly recommend it to complete a nice stay in beautiful Savannah.
The place itself was amazing. My sisters, mother, and I stayed for a ladies' weekend getaway. The charm of the architecture and decor added so much to our stay! It was so comfortable--for sleeping, eating, bathing, sipping wine on the back deck--and so full of character. And so clean! The facilities were phenomenal: beautiful bathrooms and kitchen, new and pretty fixtures, a brand-new feeling with old charm.
The owner was incredibly helpful with any questions we had for her. She took the time to call us directly, left maps and itinerary ideas at the entrance for us, made it so easy to have a great time. Absolutely wonderful person to rent from.
And the neighborhood was just stunning. Within walking distance were beautiful parks, lots of fantastic restaurants and bars, and some great coffee shops. I'd steal the place if I could.
Next time we're in Savannah, we will specifically seek out Kelly and her beautiful home at 347 Tattnall Street! Thanks so much.
