We are involved with the community, and local government so it is of utmost importance to us to maintain and preserve the area & it's beauty for years to come.
Kelly Brazil purchased this house in 2008
Less than an hour from St. Louis, MO with any imagineable activity at your fingertips but nestled in the heart of Missouri's wine district for the relaxing & rejuvenating vacation you imagined, we're certain we have the accomodations for your needs!
While the house is fairly comfortable the beds are not. Some of us either slept on the couch or the floor rather than sleep in the bed in the room with the antique furniture. Considering what we paid for the rent the owner should invest in new mattresses. The location is good --close to St Louis , St Charles & vineyards in the area.
pleasantly surprised , we had 7 women for a girls weekend the house was very clean . plenty of room large eating area everything we needed in the kitchen for cooking. with in walking distance to winerie, and a bar that had great food. we were able to be in the pool and listen to the band at the bristo next door . the katy trail is right behind the house, great for biking. overall a great stay.
We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the house. It was clean, neat, nicely furnished, updated appliances. We had 6 adults and 2 toddlers, it was perfect for the toddlers to move about. As the week was unbelievable HOT, our trips into St Louis were in the morning - Grant's Farm, the Children's Museum, historic St Charles. When we returned around 2:30, we all jumped in the pool. That was a wonderful activity to look forward to. The pool was huge and clean, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, staying until it was time for our evening meal. We had plenty of room to prepare meals, and a table that accommodated all of us.
The convenience of the location - 9-10 miles to main highways, we had no trouble getting to our destinations. While we brought bikes to ride the Katy trail, it was just too hot. I think we'll give it a try in the fall, and hope to rent this house. Just convenient.
The only complaint I may register would be the deck boards need some work as nails were working their way out - in the scheme of things, a minor problem. We wished the weather would have been conducive to using the deck, as there was a table, chairs, umbrella. very inviting. We used the grill which was also top notch.
We will recommend this home and willingly use it again.
Great location, close to shops, wineries, lots of activities, would definitely return, thanks for the upgrade, wish the weather was warmer to use the hot tub and pool
My family of 6 adults and 2 children stayed at this property in June 2013. We really enjoyed the home. Unfortunately, the weather was a little too chilly for our kids to use the pool, but the hot tub was perfect. The pool looked very clean though. The home itself felt a lot larger than what the pictures are able to portray. We, also, enjoyed walking on the trail behind the house. The owners were wonderful and kind to communicate with and helpful with our questions, before and during our stay. We would recommend this house to family and friends. We actually wanted to rent it again in October, but unfortunately it was already rented. I think that says something positive when you are wanting to return to a property again. I will be honest in saying that we felt the price would be pretty expensive for just one couple/family to rent. But, with several couples and people to split the rental fee with it was very reasonable. AND knowing everyone can fit very comfortably is a huge plus. Again, we really enjoyed our stay and hope to be able to stay again one day.
