About Michael Cunningham
My son has lived in Quepos for 12 years working his own and other boats as a sport fishing captain. Married to a Costa Rican they have two beautiful sons. I came to Quepos to be with my grandchildren 7 years ago. He named his oldest son Marlin after the biggest sport fish so we named the House after both the fish and the grandson. We are from the Tidewater area of Virginia. I am a Studio Potter working with porcelain for the past thirty years. My father lived on the beachfront at Virginia Beach and was an avid fisherman. We have decorated the house with some of his nautical antiques. My entire family was involved in gardening, landscape architecture and the nursery business. I am an avid gardener. It is my great joy to finally finish Casa Marlin so that I can create the tropical garden I have been imagining for the past five years.
Michael Cunningham purchased this villa in 2010
Why Michael Cunningham chose Manuel Antonio
We are located at the end of the road that has several other extremely successful rental houses. Our Unique location not only gives us an incredible beach, mountain, marina view it also has the advantage of being completely isolated from neighbors making your stay private and secure. There is virtually no road noise or through traffic. The most common sounds are that of the monkeys, parrots and frogs.
Guestbook comments from the manager
We had a great trip. The house was beautiful and the location was great! We felt secluded but...not totally isolated. We had monkeys visit us almost everyday. On Tuesday, we actually saw a three-toed sloth in the tree out front, eating. He was so close, we got great pictures of him. Awesome!
We loved everything, seriously.
